The hostel is located in a centrical place, the only thing is that the street to get there at night was a bit isolated and i had to enter a huge garden/park to get there, which by myself at night did not seem the greatest of ideas, but ended up being fine and I´m sure the area is fine. It used to be university halls and it´s clean and new - it has been refurbished. I liked the tiles in the gardens in the bathrooms, and the comfortable room with a desk and comfy beds. Some people were yelling downstairs (I was on the first floor) and due to the indoors structure building I could hear them from uptairs, but gladly they were not like this all evening and I could get a good nights´sleep. I also want to emphasise the kindness of the receptionists, both of them, and the fact that they are there 24 hours is reassuring. I had an incident or two, and the one who was there solved it very nicely. Only thing is, since i asked for a private, it would have been nice to have been by myself in a double room, not a 6-bed room, but just commenting. There is a nice cafeteria for breakfast pretty nearby which she recommended, and it is about 20 mins to the train/bus station, so in that sense it was convenient.

I was thinking that I only need a place to stay while breaking-down my trip back home from Italy, so the most important ”attribute” for it was not to spend too much time driving in the city, to be close to the highway and, at the same time, to the city center. And Wud is perfectly located. If you do not need to spend too much time finding it, if you do not have too much time to find a parking place, if you need to rest and you are looking for a quiet area. From my window I could literally see the mountains (or hills) even if the room was on the ground floor. The room was absolutely clean, big and comfortable. Good lights, good beds and pillows, good taste everywhere. The bathroom (shower room) is actually integrated in the room, only the toilet has a space of its own. Nice TV set, Philips Ambilight. Good breakfast, excellent coffee machine and coffee, very nice people at the reception desk. 100% recommend this hotel if you need to rest one night in Ljubljana. But not only for that, I think it's a good place to choose even for a city break. I'll stay there for sure next time. It is rated three stars, but believe me, it deserves more.

We had an amazing time staying at Apartments Hisa pod Gradom! The location is just unbeatable - the apartments are located in the city center just two minutes from the local market. The restaurant downstairs offer amazing pica role which we never tried before. :) They also offer self service breakfast too for a reasonable price. The apartments are clean, new and very well maintainted and the owners were very helpful with our first time staying in Ljubljana. Had a nice stay at this hotel but the hotel has some issues. Biggest one of them being parking and carrying luggage to the hotel as there is no way you can park closer to the hotel. On top of it, its a cobbled street. Say goodbye to you bag wheelies… Secondly, being a 4star property, i would atleast expect a 24hr reception desk. Had a call from trip.com office regarding my eta to the hotel as they would close the reception desk after 10pm and we wouldnt be able to check-in if there is no staff. Thankfully staff stayed late as our flight was super delayed (Perfect easyjet moment) and checked us in before we could head out and get dinner which was past 10:45pm and almost none of the restaurants were serving dinner. So much for the first magical evening in Ljubljana!!!! Thirdly, there is no lift being an old building which is self explanatory, but travellers with heavy luggage should be warned in advance. Fourthly, as for the breakfast we expected a proper coffee from a 4star property, but instead there is only a small coffee machine which dispenses coffee on button press. Guys the coffee isnt nice. I would rather head downstairs to the main street with plenty of cafes around. Breakfast itself is just standard, nothing whao. For hot breakfast there is only one option - eggs (served 4 ways) wasnt great, wasnt bad! Now for the good part, hotel is nicely decorated, clean, rooms are spacious, coffee machine and kettle inside the room. Clean towels, Comfy beds! A complimentary bubbly waiting for you in the fridge, somehow they knew you are exhausted from carrying your bags from the end of the street to the hotel and upstairs!!! 😫 3.5 stars.

Reasonable private room hostel for the price. Good for a short stay. Very clean snd not too far from central Ljubljana. My only issues were the other guests were noisy snd did not respect the quiet hours rule - talking loudly in the hallway till late at night. Also the bed was not a queen bed as listed - it was two single mattresses pushed together- so I could only really sleep on one side.

The hostel is located in a centrical place, the only thing is that the street to get there at night was a bit isolated and i had to enter a huge garden/park to get there, which by myself at night did not seem the greatest of ideas, but ended up being fine and I´m sure the area is fine. It used to be university halls and it´s clean and new - it has been refurbished. I liked the tiles in the gardens in the bathrooms, and the comfortable room with a desk and comfy beds. Some people were yelling downstairs (I was on the first floor) and due to the indoors structure building I could hear them from uptairs, but gladly they were not like this all evening and I could get a good nights´sleep. I also want to emphasise the kindness of the receptionists, both of them, and the fact that they are there 24 hours is reassuring. I had an incident or two, and the one who was there solved it very nicely. Only thing is, since i asked for a private, it would have been nice to have been by myself in a double room, not a 6-bed room, but just commenting. There is a nice cafeteria for breakfast pretty nearby which she recommended, and it is about 20 mins to the train/bus station, so in that sense it was convenient.

Had a nice stay at this hotel but the hotel has some issues. Biggest one of them being parking and carrying luggage to the hotel as there is no way you can park closer to the hotel. On top of it, its a cobbled street. Say goodbye to you bag wheelies… Secondly, being a 4star property, i would atleast expect a 24hr reception desk. Had a call from trip.com office regarding my eta to the hotel as they would close the reception desk after 10pm and we wouldnt be able to check-in if there is no staff. Thankfully staff stayed late as our flight was super delayed (Perfect easyjet moment) and checked us in before we could head out and get dinner which was past 10:45pm and almost none of the restaurants were serving dinner. So much for the first magical evening in Ljubljana!!!! Thirdly, there is no lift being an old building which is self explanatory, but travellers with heavy luggage should be warned in advance. Fourthly, as for the breakfast we expected a proper coffee from a 4star property, but instead there is only a small coffee machine which dispenses coffee on button press. Guys the coffee isnt nice. I would rather head downstairs to the main street with plenty of cafes around. Breakfast itself is just standard, nothing whao. For hot breakfast there is only one option - eggs (served 4 ways) wasnt great, wasnt bad! Now for the good part, hotel is nicely decorated, clean, rooms are spacious, coffee machine and kettle inside the room. Clean towels, Comfy beds! A complimentary bubbly waiting for you in the fridge, somehow they knew you are exhausted from carrying your bags from the end of the street to the hotel and upstairs!!! 😫 3.5 stars.

Reasonable private room hostel for the price. Good for a short stay. Very clean snd not too far from central Ljubljana. My only issues were the other guests were noisy snd did not respect the quiet hours rule - talking loudly in the hallway till late at night. Also the bed was not a queen bed as listed - it was two single mattresses pushed together- so I could only really sleep on one side.

Awesome stay here for 4 nights. Our group occupied 3 of the apartments on the 2nd floor and were all very happy. Receptionist Nina extremely friendly and helpful. Beds a bit hard but great pillows. Great showers. Decor gloriously old. Bakery and mini mart just over the bridge. Easy walk to everywhere in the city. Restaurants all around.
