Even better than it looks! Perfect week with the family, including a baby and 5 year old, with beautiful grounds and pebble beaches/pools. Weather in August was 95% sun and blue skies, lovely. Great food and the service level was amazing. Kids club team were wonderful. And us parents loved the spa and time to walk along the coast while the kids were in the club. We will come back I hope!

Just returned to the UK after a 7 night stay here. Overall my wife & I had a superb time but I feel a few simple service issues were lacking.I had to complain about the lack of service from inattentive waiters at breakfast. This wasn’t an isolated incident & after 3 successive mornings of being ignored for tea/ coffee/ menu I had to voice my concerns. In a 5 star hotel at this price point I shouldn’t have had any issues. That said it was fine for the rest of our stay. The other issues was our check in. No drinks offered not were we shown any facilities- just a sheet of paper & a QR code - quite impersonal. We also took the wrong lift to our room which I’m sure they would have seen us do! Having said all this the hotel & resort are stunning. We used the gym & spa which are both excellent. The lobby bar was very good. Rovinj is a beautiful town & we would certainly return.

The hotel has its own restaurant, where breakfast is served, ok. The bed is large and there is no extra bed in the room, but there is a large sofa. The location is good, just beside the pier, the old town is right next to it. The hotel offers free parking but stops in another location. The hotel will help you park your car, and the hotel will have a car to the parking lot. The rooms are clean and tidy, with many warm arrangements, such as room perfumes and small snacks. Recommended.

I book this room on ***********.After I book they leave the key of the room in garden in one of the roses ( There were 50 roses and in the night ) What kind of service and hospitality is this ????!!!! Please explain me this.After I couldnt enter in the room which was 1.8 km walking distance from this so called reception .The host didnt respond on any of 20 calls on whattsup or normal calls or booking messages in the evening !!!!???? What is this in 21 century ??? What if there is really something going wrong . I had a great stay at the Melegran in Rovinj. The hotel is located in the heart of the old city and convenient to everything. If you are driving to Rovinj, they have a parking lot outside the city walls, which is very convenient and easily worth the 8 € per day fee. The hotel staff are very good and reached out to me a few times before I arrived and in particular the day before and day I arrived so that we could coordinate my arrival so they could guide me to the parking lot and bring me to the hotel on their golf cart. In addition, I got a free drink at the bar at check in. The room I had was in the building across from where the lobby and bar is and was spacious and quiet. The bathroom and fixtures were all updated and modern. I was there near the end of shoulder season, so the town wasn't as crowded as it is in peak tourist season and the price was very reasonable. I would absolutely recommend a stay here.

We made the right decision to take our first trip to Croatia, the right decision to visit Istria, the right decision to stay in Rovinj & absolutely hit the bullseye with Residence Vaal. This is an absolute gem of a property & Denis, Aleksandra and their team, particularly Laura & Aleksandar, could not have done more to make our trip a thoroughly enjoyable one, & to ensure that we want to hurry back. Residence Vaal is extremely comfortable, well equipped and almost surgically clean. The setting, slightly away from the centre of town is peaceful, & it's ideally placed for Cuvi beach. The breakfasts are fresh, varied and generous, and offer a great selection with home-baked daily delicacies. The pool area is an oasis of peace, with added hydromassage! All these tangible attributes are practically perfect, but what really made our trip was the extremely friendly, uber helpful and above-and-beyond service. I cannot recommend Residence Vaal highly enough!
