From check-in to checkout the whole experience went very smoothly. Staff was very friendly and the hotel from the lobby to the room was extremely clean. Also enjoyed the bar located in the lobby for an evening beverage. If you’re going to Round Rock to enjoy the amenities at Kalahari Resort and want to save a little on your stay, it’s definitely worth it.

We have traveled to all 50 states so we have stayed in many hotels. Never have we found someone like Shelia In the breakfast room. She was making sure everyone was being taken care of. Give the lady a raise. We stayed two nights and she was the best hostess we have ever encountered.

My husband, myself, and my 3 children stayed at this hotel after attending a wedding last night. We arrived around 9:45 pm and just wanted to sleep. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you want to stay up all night and party with the very loud crowd in the gazebo/ patio area. We paid $193 for the night...that was a very high price for this AWFUL experience! I would have expected this from maybe a $60-100 hotel... you get what you pay for...but not for a room for almost $200 per night. Yes, it was Memorial Day Weekend so the price was probably inflated. Our room was on the 2nd floor with the window facing the patio/grill area. Around 11pm the music was getting louder. It was hard to sleep and my kids were exhausted and cranky! I thought there were quiet hours enforced at this establishment. I called the front desk at 11:30 multiple times with no answer. I walked down to the front desk a few minutes later and made a complaint to which the worker at the front desk apologetically told me she would deal with it. At 2:30 AM the Tejano music was louder than before. The group gathering at the grill area was growing and so was the noise. I called the front desk again, no answer. I walked back down to the front desk. Another man was there complaining as well. The worker at the front desk once again apologetically told me she would take care of it. I saw her talking with the leader of the party group and several others. The party group clearly did not think there was a problem and it almost seemed as if the hotel staff and the outside party crowd were negotiating. At that point I realized that the hotel staff was unfortunately not in charge of the situation. I walked back up stairs realizing that probably nothing was going to change. I cranked up the white noise maker and the AC hoping to drown out the noise below. Around 3 am I believe the party stopped. I slept till 7 and left that morning. Our room was clean and comfortable, but it was IMPOSSIBLE to sleep due to excessive noise! That is a massive problem with 3 kids!!! I feel sorry for the hotel guests and staff. I was told the next morning that it was a group of 100 workers and ”they can get loud sometimes,” (Which means this is a recurring problem). I feel sorry for the guests of this establishment who have to stay longer than a night. I feel sorry for the staff of this establishment who are clearly being run over by their severely inconsiderate guests . I will NEVER go back to the hotel again!
