Cosy Cottage Thermal Holiday Park

Caravan park review We’d done well travelling around the South and North Island over 3 weeks in our camper, staying in clean and well kept campsites….until this one. Unfortunately, a depressing, run down, and tired campsite which could do with some TLC. Kitchen was very basic, the toilets smelt of mould, and hairballs stayed on the floor over the course of 2 days, bins also broken in the toilet, dead flies covered the windows, a lock didn’t work on one of the few toilet doors, and there was a pile of rubbish just at the end of the short pathway from the site to the lake. It really felt like it needed an upgrade, and the owner/s had given up. The person we checked in with was pretty miserable, and we didn’t see any staff the whole time we were there. We didn’t use the hot tubs or swimming pool, so couldn’t comment on those.

Room was very clean, and well kept. Hot tubs available for use, as well as a "hangi" with cooking instructions. Showers had great water pressure, and lots of hot water. Rooms were a little dated, but well kept, and decent amenities.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The place had a pool and hot tubs located in a quiet neighborhood.

The room was clean and also bed is quite comfortable. Im just hoping that theres aircon since I have my baby that would be perfect. Thanks!

We loved the hot springs tubs and pool, and appreciated the laundry facilities. Overall the facilities are worn and dated and the men’s bathroom was dirty. For the price this was still a good value—our room was clean and dry and had a small kitchenette, but would’ve appreciated cleaner facilities.

Accommodation fairly spacious, beds very comfortable with a really good nights sleep (3 nights) thanks to the noise curfew applied. Laundry with tumble dryers standard. Not used the pool but looks very clean. Web site gives very good information.

The room is clean and the staff is very friendly. Loved and enjoyed the hot spring tubs with outdoor swimming pool.

Went with my family - 2 young kids and a newborn. Kids loved the bunk beds so that won them over, plus the hot pools were lovely.
