Silver Fern Rotorua Suites & Spa

This is a hidden gem in Rotorua, perfect for families. The location is fantastic, making it incredibly convenient for visiting attractions and finding restaurants, all within a few minutes' drive. Thankfully, we booked several days in advance, as the hotel was fully booked on our arrival day. We booked a family room, a two-bedroom, one-living room with a sofa bed and a large bathtub. It was spotlessly clean. The room also had a microwave and coffee maker, along with all the tableware and water. The amenities were absolutely fantastic. To our surprise, the owner was Chinese and very nice. The front desk was also very welcoming, offering us cookies and milk, taking our keys and escorting us to our room. Seeing we had children with us, they thoughtfully asked if we needed anything and even checked to see if we had enough towels in the bathroom. These details made me understand why this hotel was so fully booked when so many other hotels nearby were. For those traveling to Rotorua with children, I highly recommend this family room; you can rest assured!

The hotel is clean and tidy, with convenient transportation and easy parking. There is a supermarket a few minutes' drive away. The room also has a full set of kitchenware for self-catering. The first thing I did after checking in was to have afternoon tea on the balcony in the winter sun. In addition, the bathtub is very large and comfortable. The Chinese lady boss is very welcoming. The room I originally booked was a large bed plus a sofa bed. The young owner took the initiative to help us upgrade to a family room. The children have a single room and don't have to sleep on the sofa bed. It's very nice.
