Millennium Hotel Rotorua

The hotel location is convenient, within walking distance to the city center and the lakeside. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the public facilities are well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and polite. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

The hotel facilities are very basic. They didn't respond to my inquiries before or after my stay.

The room isn't very big; it felt a bit cramped with two large suitcases. The location is about 1.5km from the bar street, and there's a hot spring center right next door. Breakfast was average, but the setting was lovely, as you can enjoy it by the pool. The front desk service was quite good, and the bellhop was very helpful.

This is a large hotel that attracts many tour groups. There's a famous Chinese restaurant nearby with delicious seafood and fried rice. The hotel and rooms have a strong sulfur smell, probably because it's located in a hot spring area. However, I must mention that the heater in my room wasn't working. It seemed like the heaters on the entire floor were broken. The staff came up twice to try and fix it but couldn't. In the end, I had to borrow a portable heater from the hotel to get through the night.

Decided to stay overnight in Rotorua on a whim and chose the Millennium Hotel. Its location is excellent, with restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Plus, it's super close to the Polynesian Spa, just a few minutes' walk to go for a soak. The room amenities were decent, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is served in the basement and offers a good variety. The hotel's bar and restaurant were also good; we enjoyed dinner there.

The room was quite old, and the Wi-Fi was really bad. However, it's very close to a famous large hot spring and a big supermarket, which made shopping very convenient. I also had a meal at the hotel's restaurant.
