I would not recommend staying here, I booked a room for the weekend of the eclipse Sunday April 7th, I was planning on traveling to this location with several members of my family but I got sick that weekend and was unable to go. I was hoping I would feel better by Monday but this did not happen so I had my brother cancel the reservation. My original reservation was for $187.00 So I was very surprised to see they charged my credit card for $387.00 I contacted the hotel immediately and the Woman I spoke with did seem to be trying to sort it out. Apparently since they were price gouging that weekend for the eclipse event, and even though I booked the room a month prior for an more reasonable price they thought it would be ok to charge me and extra $200 dollars for a room I never used and booked for less than half of that price. I tried to contact the hotel manager when after a few day it did not seem like I was getting anywhere with getting a refund but they never called me back. I am now speaking with my credit card company to file a chargeback, what a hassle. So if you are traveling to the Toledo Perrysburg area I would not stay at a Hampton / Hilton hotel. I will definitely not use them in the future.

My husband and I were traveling from Mayo clinic Minnesota to our home in Delaware. He was receiving tests for his terminal condition. This hotel was the halfway point for us. Upon arriving near 9pm 7/17/24 after 12 hours on the road due to (2) fatal vehicle accidents along the way, to say we were exhausted was an understatement. My husband has ALS, a terminal motor neuron disease, and traveling and caring for him can be very difficult. The very kind Kelly, your front desk reception attendant, noticed how tired we were from the trip we just experienced. She went out of her way to offer us food from the evenings social gathering which was held 530-7pm. This was despite that the leftovers had been cleared and stored away for the night. She then contacted her coworkers Janet and Candace and they together put together 2 plates of food for us AND delivered them to our room (my husband is wheelchair bound). How can one express a proper thank you to these woman who went out of their way with such kindness? I hope in return that they too will experience the amount of kindness they showed to us when they need need a helping hand... Thank you to the gracious staff of Kelly, Janet and Candace. You all are unforgettable.
