We’ve stayed twice at Bridsow which just shows how much we enjoyed it. It’s a beautiful characterful B&B set in the idyllic Herefordshire countryside but close to great amenities in Ross on Wye, Celia & John are the perfect hosts who made us feel so welcome in their beautiful home. They are lovely, warm genuine people & nothing was too much trouble for them. They also provided plenty of advice on the local area. We stayed in the Welsh room which was wonderful. It was bright & spacious with elegant decor, a large comfy bed & a lovely seating area overlooking the garden with fabulous countryside views. The bathroom was large & well appointed. We also had a small fridge which was very handy. We wanted a relaxing stay & it certainly didn’t disappoint. The breakfast (cooked by Celia) was amazing. There was plenty of choice & it was all fresh & very tasty. The fruit salad was the best we’ve ever had. The dining room overlooking the garden provided a beautiful setting too. All in all, we had a wonderful stay here & we cannot recommend this place highly enough. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you Celia & John. Mel and Karl

A fantastic place to stay. We had a wonderful time and absolutely loved Bridstow Guest House. Celia and Jon are excellent hosts and so welcoming. The food was delicious and Celia’s pancakes were incredible. Our room was spotless and the view onto Ross-on-Wye was stunning!! I will be recommending Bridstow Guest House to anyone I know who finds themselves even remotely in the area!

Our stay at Bridstow Guest House was an absolute delight. Our hosts, John and Celia were the most welcoming of couples and our large, light and wonderful room with large en-suite bath and shower room was exceptional. It was pure luxury with perfect countryside views. The breakfast was to die for and catered for all tastes.

We have recently returned from spending 12 nights at the Bridstow guest house. We had a wonderful time staying at the guest house and were treated more like friends than paying guests. We stayed in the English room which has lovely views over the surrounding countryside and Ross on Wye. The house is located in a quiet location and only a short 5 minute car journey into Ross. The breakfasts were excellent with a good choice and I particularly liked the pancakes with yogurt, fruit and maple syrup. The garden view from the breakfast room was a delight. We loved their friendly little dog. Our room was well equipped and spacious. It was a luxury to bathe in the slipper bath after long days of walking. The shower was fantastic. Our only small criticism was that we had assumed there would be a wardrobe in the room, given the room size, and that we were booked for 12 nights. Perhaps this should have been pointed out on booking? (There are several clothes hooks on the wall available for people staying a few nights which would be adequate). Jon and Celia were very helpful in suggesting particular places to visit and walks to undertake. They also suggested restaurants. We particularly liked the Loughpool and No 3 in Ross on Wye. Suggest you book at least a week before you want to go as both are extremely popular and get booked up quickly. It will be worth it as other restaurants in Ross and surrounding area don’t come close - the experience of the ones we visited, anyway. Thank you Jon and Celia you made us feel very welcome and it was very much appreciated.

Celia and Jon were excellent hosts; they made us feel more like friends than paying guest, Jon even offered to take us to the restaurant, which we had booked in Ross-on-Wye, because of the parking there, and said he would have picked us up after our meal as well, how nice is that. The breakfasts were excellent, with plenty of choice; they really set you up for the day. It was a beautiful room, with a large bed, and a very large bathroom. You couldn’t beat the view from the room, we were in the English room looking out across the countryside, we could have just sat there watching the wildlife, and the farmer getting the fields ready, it was so quiet and relaxing. There is good parking, and oh yes, did we mention the breakfasts? There is a lot to do in the area, and places to visit, more than we had time for in our limited stay of four days. We left feeling rested, and sad to leave a lovely house and a lovely couple (and their friendly dog). Recommended? you bet, will we be back? you bet (if Jon and Celia would have us that is 😄)

We stayed at this lovely B&B for three nights and from the moment we arrived were made to feel so welcome by John and Celia. Our room and en-suite bathroom were extremely clean and comfortable with exceptional views of the surrounding countryside. Celia’s breakfasts were delicious, varied and of high quality. Thank you both for your hospitality. We would not hesitate to recommend this gorgeous accommodation.

We stayed for a week and appreciated everything. The location was ideal for our holiday, rural and peaceful, with easy access by car to nearby Ross-on-Wye and for visits to places of interest in the area. Celia and Jon are superb hosts and made us most welcome. Our room, the English Room, provided everything one could possibly want; spotlessly clean, a most comfortable bed, well appointed en-suite, a fridge stocked each day with water and fresh milk and a sitting area with views across fields. Breakfast choices, which we selected and sent by text each evening, were great. We thoroughly enjoyed carefully prepared fruit salads and a variety of cooked dishes whilst relaxing in the dining room overlooking the garden. In the evenings we ate at several nearby places recommended by Celia and Jon and particularly liked the Loughpool restaurant, a couple of miles away in the countryside, (we went there twice) and also the Kings Head in Ross-on-Wye.
