I Castagnoni is a lovely, historically rich place nestled in the hills of Monferrato. It is a prefect location for exploring the local countryside and all it has to offer, from top notch restaurants to lovely wineries. I highly recommend bringing your running shoes to properly explore the surrounding hills on foot.

I loved staying at this beautiful place in the rolling hills and vineyards. Gorgeous, historic building and grounds. Room very comfortable and clean. Good breakfast with good variety. Super nice staff! Helped so well with dinner reservations in the area and all other questions. My two nights only was really too short! Highly recommended!

Not happy to give this review .As Italian i'm prod of my country but this place is a tourist trap. This was one of my worse experience in 45 year I'm travel around the world . Owners are farmer not very polite managing an old building and do not have any attention to customers . Is very expensive , Room are not in good condition and with very old furniture . People allergic to dust avoid this hotel. We have dinner but they do not kook and they use a catering . Meal cost is twice what you eat in a very good osteria .Absolutely low standard , low quality and very expensive . We have dinner in several other place where quality was way better at lower price even half price what we paid at Castagnoni . Wine is not good and way to expensive . There are many other very nice agriturismo in the area wher we had exellent food and very good biological wine . I need also to mention that only other guet was Russian and at breakfast nothing was left and have to wait fro eggs and other food . Rssian fil all the plate and eat half and we have to wait . VERY VERUY BAD EXPERIENCE AT VERY HIGH PRICE .

Lovely convent-converted-to-residential home. Lovely large room furnished with antiques but without a comfortable sitting area. Breakfast unremarkable. NOTE!! You will be charged 40 Euros to use the spa room. The staff did not inform us about this charge. On the day we visited the only thing that worked in the spa was a small hot tub. We could find no mention of the charge listed on their website. We traveled in Italy for 17 days and this was 1 of 2 hotels that charged for use of spa. We reached out to the hotel staff to request a refund for our 30 minutes in their spa, but they refused our request. Better value to be found in the area. Would not stay there on return visit.

The hotel and the surrounding area are beautiful. The area offers a lot of space and privacy, ideal for rest and recreation. The home baked breakfast cakes where delicious. We rented electric bikes trough the hotel, would recommend that.

Located amidst the hills in Piedmont, with superb landscape view. Owners welcome you personally, explaining the history ripe building and the collection of objects and artifacts they have carefully selected for furnishing this very very nice place. Castagnoni is full of history, dating back to Savoia Kingdom: heaven for a history fan like me. The rooms: each one different, with its own character. My colleague was delighted getting one with canopy bed! The place: walking in the park, looking at surrounding landscape: peace for mind and soul, even if we were on business trip! The surrounding: owners are very helpful advising you best place for dining (Castagnoni is a B&B), you won't be disappointed. A perfect place for starting a relaxing week in the middle of Piedmont hills Thanks a lot, grazie mille! Bis bald, Servus!

Relais incantevole, ogni angolo da scoprire . La SPA è molto bella, curata, è proprio una chicca! Proprietari e personale empatici e disponibili , la camera spaziosa e comoda, super buffet per la colazione con prodotti fatti in casa. Super consigliato!!!!

Abbiamo pernottato una sola notte in questa struttura, precisamente nella stanza Iris, e devo dire che ci siamo trovate bene! Originale la stanza organizzata su più livelli e pulita, un po’ fredda appena entrate ma una volta accesi i condizionatori sull aria calda di stava benissimo! Non ho apprezzato particolarmente i cuscini delle sedie macchiati, una sorta di arazzo appeso sul letto singolo che dava idea di molto polveroso e le tavoglie sui comodini del letto matrimoniale, inoltre la tenda della stanza matrimoniale non era oscurante per cui la mattina un fascio di luce molto forte alla 7,30 impediva il riposo. Per il resto devo dire che la spa è piccolina ma davvero ben fatta, era presente anche la tisaneria e l abbiamo proprio apprezzata! La colazione versatile e abbondante, potevi addirittura chiedere uova e omelette espresse! Nota davvero di merito all’angolo gluten free della colazione!! Concludendo sicuramente è un posto in cui ritornerei, il consiglio è quello di “svecchiare” un poco l arredamento delle stanze
