A Nostalgic Stay at the Part Hotel, Shanghai As a former resident of the neighborhood where the Part Hotel stands, my recent 12-day stay was more than just an accommodation choice; it was a journey through time and memories. While my experience had its ups and downs, there were aspects of the hotel that left a lasting impression. Let's start with the positives. The service at the Part Hotel was impeccable. Despite the challenges I faced with room changes due to some rooms having a lingering smell, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate me. Their professionalism and genuine concern for my comfort were commendable. Each request was promptly addressed, and the staff always wore warm smiles, making me feel welcome and valued throughout my stay. Moreover, the location of the Part Hotel holds a special place in my heart. Being in the neighborhood where I grew up added a nostalgic touch to my visit. I enjoyed strolling through familiar streets, reminiscing about my childhood adventures, and rediscovering hidden gems in the area. For guests with a penchant for history and local culture, the hotel's surroundings offer a treasure trove of experiences waiting to be explored. However, it's essential to address the drawbacks. The aging facilities of the Part Hotel were noticeable, with some rooms showing signs of wear and tear. The recurring issue of unpleasant odors in certain rooms was disappointing, prompting me to switch accommodations multiple times during my stay. While the staff did their best to mitigate these issues, it detracted from the overall experience and left room for improvement in the hotel's maintenance. In conclusion, my stay at the Part Hotel was a mix of nostalgia, excellent service, and room for improvement. While the historic charm and personalized attention from the staff were highlights of my visit, the outdated facilities and recurring odor issues were areas of concern. Nevertheless, the hotel's unique ambiance and convenient location make it a compelling choice for those seeking a glimpse into Shanghai's past. With some refurbishments and attention to detail, the Part Hotel has the potential to elevate its offering and provide an even more memorable experience for guests.

The location was not so bad service was okay our room keys would not let us enter our room we had to get new ones twice. In the bathroom we found cockroaches would not recommend to stay here. Finding a parking spot was first come first serve.

The shuttle took half a hour to arrived at the bus terminal. We had called a few times and they told us to wait a little longer because the bus driver was in the way. We arrived at the hotel almost 8:15. It took 30 minutes to check-in. The receptionist gave the wrong hotel card to another person and was triying make room arrangements. We got a little scared because the experience untill there was bad. Because it was late and will not be refundable, we had decided to stay at the hotel. The room was good, it was clean, there was towels and air conditioner was working. I have only two observations: the frigobar was noisy and the smell of cleaning products was too strong. Afterall, the hotel was not too expensive and we took 12 minutes to arrive at O`Hare airport. The checkout was fast and the bus shuttle as well.

Great experience! I will book this hotel again. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast included in my reservation which was nice, and their airport shuttle service was convenient.
