We took our kids to Roseburg so we could visit wild life safari and stayed here for 2 nights. We booked a suite to make it special for them. When we checked in I gave the guy my ID and debit card and he said he found my reservation then asked to see my American express card that I paid with, I told him that I didn't have one and that's not mine. After 20 minutes of him checking things and assuring me he had us in with the right reservation he told me we had there nicest room. We were in our room unpacking when strangers walked in and claimed it was there room, so my husband went to the office and the guy said he booked the other couple wrong and gave us new keys. Then going to dinner none of our keys worked, we then had to get new ones. We were assured everything was good. At 11pm that night someone started banging on our door and the same guy claimed we needed to come to the office to sort things out. My husband went and finally dealt with someone new, where they told us we were not I the suite we had booked, our address and card had been put on someone else's reservation and in the morning we could move to our real room. This was a huge inconvenience for our trip, going to the office multiple times and then having to switch rooms with 5 kids under 10. And the only thing we were given for our trouble was $40, the difference between the rooms. We were told by the owner that there was nothing they could do for us. And the excuse given for the huge mix up, ”oh that guy only works nights” Extremely unprofessional except for the girl in the office that helped us.
Riverfront Inn Roseburg

The interior of the rooms have been remodeled which is a plus; however, the mattress was hard and there was/is no privacy curtain so if you want to let light into the room, you are exposed to the peeping eyes of passerbys and housekeepers. In the morning, as I was getting dressed and packing, the housekeeper even pushed her face into the window to peek in to see if I had checked out! I had the ”Do Not Disturb” sign on the door still and just had the curtains open to let light in. Also, if you are on the bottom level, your view is of cars in the parking lot and the tops of trees beyond. You cannot see the park or the river as they dip down below ground level so if you want to view the river, you have to get a room on an upper floor. I did enjoy walking across the parking lot to the little park area, though, and viewing the river from there. The front desk clerk was friendly and that is always a plus, and the room itself was clean. Pros and cons.
Motel 6 Roseburg, or

We were reluctantly in Roseburg for a wedding and booked a room here. We didn't reserve ahead of time. Disappointed there was no AAA discount. Front desk young woman did not seem to have much customer service skills. She put a mask on when we walked in, but each time we came in and out of the motel (about 3 times we left over the course of probably 3 hours), she was not wearing a mask and had two friends without masks sitting in the lobby across from the front desk. They were loud, saying the F word, talking about UTIs, and grandparents suspected to be swingers. My husband and I are far from prude, but c'mon, this is a place of business and some professionalism is required! The room had no microwave or fridge which seemed odd in the 21st century and paying $141 for one night. And there were no toiletries except soap. It's a good location in such a crappy town, but if you can make sure you have decent front desk staff (which you can't) then you could try staying here.

I live on the coast, I had to come to roseburg, because my son was transferred here by ambulance. Due to Covid I wasn’t allowed to go into the hospital to sit with my son, I decided to stay in a motel that was close to the hospital I went online and booked my reservation at your super 8 motel in roseburg Oregon Upon check in I asked the woman at the front desk if there was any discount for people staying because of family in the hospital, I mentioned my son was in the hospital, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask. A simple no would of been just fine, but the lady at the front desk said” there’s lots of moms with sons in the hospital, no we don’t give discounts” I found this to be not only insensitive but incredibly rude, like I said a simple “no” would of been fine. Had I not been already exhausted and emotionally drained, I would of demanded my money back and go across the street to motel 6. Your motel is clean, the rooms are spacious and nice, but because of her comments I will never stay there again. I didn’t catch her name but I checked in in January 18th around 3:40 pm.

Largely delivers what it promises. A budget hotel with basic amenities. It was quiet the night we stayed. Friendly front-desk staff. Website promises breakfast, but it turned out to be a choice between a granola bar and an instant oatmeal packet. Sink, shower, toilet were all functional. Bed was not great, but comfortable. Heat worked.

Honestly when we first pulled in to this hotel I was worried because of the location but it turned out to be very clean, and the young man who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. These days that can be hard to come by so I always appreciate nice employees who care. This hotel does have outside entry into the rooms (motel style) and unfortunately there was quite a bit of traffic by our door throughout the night. I’m a light sleeper so I was awoken several times. Now I understand why there were free earplugs at the front desk. Of course, this noise can happen at even the best of hotels so I can’t hold it against this hotel. Room was very clean and one of the towels was even folded into a swan! Overall a good spot to stay overnight on your next road trip.
