Rose Garden Palace Roma by Omnia Hotels

Via Veneto Rome|1.04km from Bioparco
We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Rose Palace. The front desk gave us tired travelers a warm welcome that made us relax immediately. Our room overlooked the back of the American Embassy with guards stationed outside 24/7 so it was definitely safe. The hotel is a little off the beaten path from the usual touristy spots in Rome but in a very quiet area. The room was very clean. We had 3 in our room and the 3rd person had to sleep on a full size pull out couch. It was comfy for a pull out (you couldn’t feel the bar under the mattress) but unless you put up the bed every day the only place to sit were the beds. It had a small fridge and the bathroom was updated but limited on counter space around the sink. The buffet breakfast was geared toward a variety of tastes. Scrambled eggs, a variety of pastries, orange juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheese, meat, etc. When the weather was nice we enjoyed sitting outside in the garden. There is a tiny grocery store called Co-op around the corner where you can buy the basics. Also on the next block is an ATM in the alcove of the bank entrance that seemed secure to use. Reading older reviews we thought there was a restaurant in the hotel serving dinner but it turned out to just be a small bar. So we walked a couple of blocks north and ate at Cesarina and enjoyed a good meal and friendly staff. There were a lot of other restaurants to pick from in a 2-3 block radius. The ones on Via Vittorio Veneto appeared to be more expensive than the ones northeast of the hotel. There is a taxi stand a couple of blocks away and we used both Uber and inTaxi for rides back to the hotel.

Great location. Any major attraction can be reached within 20 minutes. Spacious room with a very comfortable mattress. Very helpful staff both at the reception and during room service. We initially had a corner room, but found it a little noisy for us. At the reception they changed it without any problems for another one. There are several good restaurants nearby. Reception's recommendations were also excellent. The hotel does not have its own parking lot, but in the same building on the base floor there is a garage (not the hotel), which can be accessed without entering the ZTL zone. Price 35 euros per day. But opposite the garage there is a paid city parking lot, where you can also leave your car. To get into the hotel from a garage or parking lot, you need to call from downstairs so that a receptionist will come and open the door to the elevator hall. We liked the breakfast. There was a bit of a lack of variety in egg dishes, but there was plenty of other stuff. I think the main disadvantage is the paid gym and spa. And if the spa is somehow explainable, then the gym is usually free for hotel guests. The price for visiting guests is 9 euros. Restaurant is fine. You get the voucher with 20% discount when check-in so the price becomes reasonable. Overall we enjoyed our time at the hotel and will return here again. We stayed at this hotel for one week in early October. It’s a two-hundred-year-old palazzo in a rather posh area of Rome, close to the ZOO and Villa Borghese park. We chose this location specifically to be close to Villa Borghese museum /collection, Etruscan museum in Villa Gulia and Modern Art Museum. Piazza del Popolo and Piazza Spagna are also close nearby. The part of Rome we haven’t explored much. We loved the hotel. Even though our room faced a busy street there wasn’t much noise due to good double glazing. The view across was that of the zoo. We had a miniscule kitchenette at our disposal. A Carrefour supermarket is but 10 minutes away and boy, what a selection of food there is! The apartment has high ceilings, a few nice prints of Rome, cosy bed and a small TV, we didn’t watch much. If it had a venetian chandelier, it would be great. Joking. It’s kept meticulously clean by the hotel staff. WF is rather slow but at least it’s free for the guests. First class toiletries, even though they come in environmentally friendly dispensers. Breakfast is so and so, depends what you expect. The pool is great, even in October. Coffee, drinks by the pool were very nice, too. Sun beds could do with a bit more thorough cleaning though. The staff is exceedingly polite and speak good English. Luigi is a star. Pity, la terrazza on the roof was not open. Otherwise /altrimenti it’s a fantastic place at a moderate price. Would happily stay here again.

Advantages: Although very biased, but cost-effective. The front desk service is very good, you can help to call taxi at the front desk, very convenient. Breakfast is very cheap, but there are very few options to choose from, but the breakfast in Europe, wherever you go, is nothing more than those things, and the category is a bit less. The surrounding environment is relatively quiet, but the school is a school opposite the day, slightly noisy, but it won't start very early, so it will not affect the rest. There is a balcony, the balcony is very large, sitting on the balcony and smoking a cell phone is very comfortable. Disadvantages: 1. The equipment is really old, the bathroom facilities are very poor, but they are all easy to use, just old. 2. The bed is not very comfortable, it seems that the two mattresses are put together, and there is a dividing line in the middle of sleeping. 3. The lights in the room are very dim, and the tables and chairs feel like what I was at home in the 80s. 4. The surrounding area is not very prosperous. The need to eat is very far away. The supermarket is about 1 km away. It is recommended that the selected small partners buy all of your accommodations in the supermarket one day. You don’t have to go back and forth. 5. It's really a bit biased. It takes about 10-15 Euros to get into the city. The cost is a bit high. Next time I would rather live in the city. In fact, the money for the taxi is coming out every day. But if you have an international driver's license and can rent a motorcycle in Italy, you can still consider it. personal suggestion

Firstly, if you read most other reviews they all sound very similar. The host (Giorgio) is amazing, rooms are great and overall everything is just fantastic about this place. This is simple to explain, it’s because it’s the truth. It was our first visit to Rome and Giorgio provided a list of recommendations, including the locations on a map. This was perfect, as we managed to visit 5 of the places that he recommended, all of which were simply amazing. Without these recommendations I’m confident our experience of Rome wouldn’t have been as good. The room was spacious and modern, with everything you could need. I loved the look of it and especially the lights (not something I would normally comment on). Breakfast was great too. Giorgio provided everything you needed in a continental breakfast, great coffee and fresh local pastries that were sensational. But more importantly it was a pleasure speaking to him every morning about our trip and anything else we or he wanted to discuss. I could go on about lots of things, such as the amazing old fashioned elevator or the location being brilliant, with it being close enough to walk to places, but far enough away from the crowds. But rather than going on any further, my final point would be that I normally stay in hotels and wouldn’t consider staying in a small location, like this, but with the personal service offered by Giorgio this has changed my perspective on this. Will I return to Rome? Yes. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. Thank you for an amazing stay.

The breakfast is good. It has been the third time I stayed at this hotel in Rome. Breakfasts at hotels in Rome are almost the same. I like the style of this hotel. The swimming pool is large and the room has a good atmosphere.

The hotel is relatively old-fashioned, the niche is upscale, but the facilities are outdated and the location is really inconvenient. There are no supermarkets and restaurants for a few hundred meters, and it is not suitable for families.

The room was small, but it had all the internal organs. We went in winter. The room was warm and quiet. The hotel is relatively new and the service is good. There are bus tickets at the front desk, which were refunded when we bought more. You can book a business car at the airport hotel. 58 euros, not cheap, but convenient. Overall, not bad. Praise!
