Hotels near Trajan Forum in Rome

I enjoyed my stay. The room was nice, neat and clean and an adequate size, though not spacious. Staff are helpful and friendly and the breakfast is great. The location is also wonderful, located in a square with a fountain and a huge selection of restaurants, cafés, gelaterias, bakeries etc closeby. The only downside was noise- from the lift, and other rooms and an alarm on the last night

The hotel is in a great location, it is a 5 minute walk to the Trevi fountain and a 15 minute walk to the Colosseum. The hotel has an amazing view of Rome on its roof top terrace and you can take your own drinks up there. The hotel is old looking, needs a bit it TLC but the rooms were ideal. The hotel is a busy road but overnight it went quiet and didn’t disturb us at all. The breakfast is continental but there are plenty of bats and restaurants around the local area. Very ideal for a stay in Rome!

Let me talk about the advantages first: The hotel location is very good, in the city center, it is quiet. It is next to the Trajan Market site, next to the road is the ruins of the ancient Roman city and the Piazza Venezia, and the Colosseum is within 500 meters. These attractions are tired, you can go back to the hotel to rest and recharge some energy before going out. Breakfast is on the top floor. The hotel is not on the side of the road. The front desk is always on duty. The personnel entering and leaving are clear at a glance. There is a sense of security. The room was soundproofed and seemed quiet, with no noise at night. The front desk and restaurant service staff were welcoming and friendly, and the check-in and check-out were very fast. They called for a taxi when we left. The breakfast type is slightly monotonous, almost the same, but the quality is very good, except for vegetables, there is everything, coffee can be à la carte, delicious, and worthy of praise. Few Chinese people live in this hotel, almost all Western tourists. The hotel is old and the rooms are a bit dated but clean. The lobby is luxuriously decorated, simple and elegant, warm and pleasant. Worse: because it is an old hotel, the elevator is very small and can only accommodate 2, 3 people. The flush switch in the bathroom of the room where we lived was a wrench type, and it was inconvenient to pull it back after flushing. Heating and air conditioning are not powerful, and the noise is high. The TV won't turn on, and nothing happens when I press the remote control. I asked the waiter to open it once, and didn't come out the next day. I simply didn't watch TV again. Overall good, recommended.

Very good, I really can't say bad. The view on the top floor faces the Venetian Square, and the room also has windows facing the Venetian Square, which is great. Very satisfied and very happy.

I'm sure that each of us has his own scale of factors to evaluate whether a place is beautiful or ugly but that the added value is the people. In this clean, nice and very comfortable hotel, near the Roma Termini station, it is precisely the people who make a small hotel a point of reference for our trips to Rome. Paola from the reception was, and is, the person who followed us during the booking process and who went out of her way to help us project our photographs on a wall, in a small room set up just for us, a small group of photographers arrived in town for a two day photography course. I chose this hotel based on many positive reviews from many platforms. And I experienced all of the positive reviews. And for the first time I would recommend hotel to my friends and families/relatives. The two rooms were the best : the view, size and amenities. To my surprise, the minibar provided as complimentary. Breakfast : the best breakfast I ever had after more than 30 years traveling for both leisures/family and business trips in Indonesia, Asia and Europe. On top of the buffet menus, we were offered breakfast that personalised for our needs/tastes. Now, two weeks after we left the hotel, my wife and daughter keep telling me about to comeback again to Rome just because this hotel …. All the staffs were helpful and almost excellent. Keep the good work guys, as this hotel’s experiences were the oasis in many disappointments about Rome. One small note : It was a little bit difficult for me to find this hotel, and taking up two large luggage up to the hotel lobby was a little struggle

Writing this review as we check out today, we were really pleased with this hotel and our stay. Although this is a 3 star hotel, the service of the hotel staff is 5 star, they really can’t do enough for you. The location is good, about 10 minutes to the Trevi fountain and about 15 the other way to the Colosseum. The room itself wqs clean with good AC and had wifi. For the price paid for our room, we were really happy with our stay and would recommend to others.

 The hotel is in a good location, the room is comfortable , the front desk staff is courteous and thoughtful, but we came to celebrate the anniversary hotel but we failed to give away drinks  Disappointing and unfortunately, and the price will be better if it is reduced, and we will stay again in the future! 

We stayed in room 20 for 4 nights. It has space for 3 people, a queen bed plus a single. The room and hotel in general were extremely clean. The room has a small refrigerator, a safe, a place to hang clothes on hangers (but not a closed closet) and small bathroom. The shower would be tight for a large person but we had no problem, and the water did *not* escape from the shower to wet the whole bathroom the way some hotels showers do. There is an air conditioning unit which worked but had limited range in terms how how cool the room might get (not sure about heat). Breakfast is included. There was cereal, yogurts, eggs, sausages, coffee, tea, juices. I believe they offered other cooked options but we did not partake so i don’t really know. The day we left, we stored our luggage in their luggage room and they were kind enough to refrigerate some food for us that we were planning on taking home. The front desk is manned 24x7 and they ask that you drop your key at the desk when you leave the hotel for security purposes. The front desk was very helpful with providing maps with directions and calling cabs. The hotel is located in central Rime, about 10 minutes from the Roma Termini train station, 10 minutes from piazza Venezia and Trajan’s column as well as the victor emmanuel monument, about 20 minutes from the Jewish ghetto, and 15 minutes from the trevi fountain. There is a lift in the hotel that handles max 2 people. There are many bars and restaurants in the streets surrounding the hotel, and we felt very safe walking around after 10 pm. The street the hotel is located in is a small one-way street, and could be a little loud if the windows are open, due to the bars and restaurants nearby. We would certainly stay here again.

This is a gem of a hotel in a great location, just 5/6 mins walk from the Colosseum. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. I would recommend ear plugs though as the locals seemed to get up very early. There’s a beautiful roof top terrace for breakfast (which ie excellent - so much choice!) and the staff were superb.
