Hotels near Parco di Via Statilia in Rome

I'm sure that each of us has his own scale of factors to evaluate whether a place is beautiful or ugly but that the added value is the people. In this clean, nice and very comfortable hotel, near the Roma Termini station, it is precisely the people who make a small hotel a point of reference for our trips to Rome. Paola from the reception was, and is, the person who followed us during the booking process and who went out of her way to help us project our photographs on a wall, in a small room set up just for us, a small group of photographers arrived in town for a two day photography course. Thanks Thanks Thanks dear Paola, you are invaluable for the hotel and for the people who stay with you.. an infinite thanks from all of us. Federica

We came to Rome for the second time and picked this hostel for the price and location! Best decision we could've made—great room with AC and a private bathroom, super conveniently located. The hotel is lovely and clean, and air conditioning included. Breakfast is good. Good location to Termini, where you can get a train directly to the airport. There are a couple of lovely Italian restaurants just around the corner. Close to the metro also, but be very careful, full of pick pockets. We walked to colleuseum from hotel. The Trevi fountain, Spanish steps are walking distance too, but you might want to take a coffee break half way. The host is lovely and very friendly. Room was cleaned every day. Very happy with our stay at the hotel.

I would have liked to rate the hotel as 4.5* however our room was at the front of the hotel and even with the windows shut it was very noisy from the large road junction outside, plus there was noise from other residents and tvs in other rooms, maybe some soundproofing needs to be carried out. That having been said the location was excellent, an easily walkable distance to main attractions, plus a metro stop is directly outside the hotel. The area felt safe at night and there some very good restaurants to try which are only minutes away. Should you wish to go shopping then there are plenty of non-designer shops to choose from nearby including a very good department store called COIN. Our room was a good size and had a lovely bathroom. The bed was large and extremely comfortable, the linen was super soft. Cleaning through the hotel was of a high standard. Breakfast was excellent, everything you might want and the most delicious scrambled eggs I have ever had in a hotel. There were salads, pastries, cakes, fresh fruit, yoghurts, different cured meats and cheeses, sausages and bacon and vegetarian options. Top marks for the hard working breakfast staff. A great start to the day. Staff generally were friendly and helpful. At reception were snacks and drinks to welcome you which was a nice gesture. The hotel also has a small restaurant, ideal for lunches or if you are too exhausted to leave the hotel at night. We had pizzas and salads there a couple of times for lunch and they were very good. The reception area is good with couches, they will look after your baggage if you have a late flight. A very enjoyable stay.

We stayed at the Cross Hotel for 3 days. The hotel is situated within walking distance from a metro station and a 25 min walk to the Colloseo. The hotel is recently renovated. The Lobby is very nice. Rooms are ok and has very comfortable beds, safe, tv, emptey minibar ( can be filled at extra costs). Little bathroom with shower, hairdryer, showergel… The hotel has also a garden terras bar where you can try some cocktails from 16:00 until 00:00Pm. Breakfast can be much better, little choice, pastries not tasty at all… breakfast is not recommended. for a short stay this hotel is definitely worth its 3 stars. staff is very helpful from receptionist to porter.

We stayed here initially as part of a group tour and added a couple of days onto the end. We were concerned it might not be central, but it’s a fantastic location. Walk to station is ok but also only a cheap taxi ride. The area has loads of great local restaurants and bars . They were safe and friendly plus the food was really well priced and local delicious delights. The hotel has everything you need, clean, great showers, good breakfast. Plus if you arrive early or late there’s fridges etc that dispense bottles of wine 6 euros or water plus snacks. The staff are friendly and efficient Wifi great Couldn’t recommend more

We stayed at Hotel Torino with a group. I would not recommend this hotel. The bed mattresses were completely worn out, no blankets on bed so we had to use ancient bedspreads. Hot water took 10 min to reach shower but if you tried to add cold to adjust temp, all hot water vanished. The hot shower was a trickle. Bathroom shampoo was powered and unusable. Breakfast was mediocre - fresh fruits were non-existent, coffee was not good, pastries were unappetizing, and boiled eggs severely over cooked. Thank goodness for the the granola which was delicious. Very few breakfast options nearby so we were stuck with the hotel choices. Our 7th floor room did not automatically lock, so room had to be locked from inside with key as well as locked with key whenever we left room. Other rooms in hotel did not have this issue. Keys had hotel name and room number plastered on the keychain which is a security issue if lost. Wifi dropped constantly. The safe did work and the room was made up each day (though our group had varied experience with housekeeping making up the rooms). If we had not been with a group, we would have left and found new accommodations.

I booked this hotel and read the reviews after, I was quite worried…. I can honestly say our experience was very different to the negative reviews! The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms not huge, but it was nice and clean. We had fresh towels and sheets everyday (I know as I got makeup on them) It’s a city break so it was perfect as a base for us….Get out and explore! Yes, there is a school behind but when you are out most of the day you don’t even notice it. Even at the one point we did hear the children you’ve got to be some kind of monster to find children’s laugher offensive, we didn’t mind it at all. The metro is right at the end of the street and a great way to get around. There is a fantastic gelato place to the left at the cross roads that’s open really late. We had a fantastic stay, if we visited Rome again I’d book this hotel and would 1000% recommend to our friends ❤️

We booked accommodation for 2 days, we arrived at 03:00 for our night, they received us The air conditioner in the room was not working properly but we were very tired and went to sleep anyway The next morning we asked you to check the air conditioner but at noon they didn't fix it, we asked to change rooms and they changed us the second room was very good
