Rome Municipio II – Parioli/Nomentano 5-star Hotels

The hotel is relatively old-fashioned, the niche is upscale, but the facilities are outdated and the location is really inconvenient. There are no supermarkets and restaurants for a few hundred meters, and it is not suitable for families.

The breakfast is good. It has been the third time I stayed at this hotel in Rome. Breakfasts at hotels in Rome are almost the same. I like the style of this hotel. The swimming pool is large and the room has a good atmosphere.

On the overall a nice hotel, but kind of far from the center, 10 mins away from the Torre Angela metro station. Everything needed was in the room (fridge, conditioner, hair dryer), clean, everything in good condition. Reception desk staff speaking adequate English. A nice little pool was also available for us, my son enjoyed it. Didn't buy breakfast, so I cannot say anything about it. Were mostly in the city, came to hotel only for sleeping. Conditioner working, a balcony to the back yard, not a very nice view though, but it wasn't a problem.

We have stayed at the Quirinale several times. It's perfect for us as it's close to Termini on foot (10mins with luggage). Our room was very spacious and rather elegant with lovely old parquet - a bit noisy but so attractive. In fact the whole hotel gives the impression of space and elegance - even if it's now a little faded, which doesn't worry us at all. The service was fine except at breakfast where there are simply not enough staff - walking into the breakfast room and finding so many tables uncleared is not a good look. However, the quality of the buffet has improved greatly over the last five years; having been poor it is now very good. However, the coffee is very poor, and the fruit juice, which is little more than very sweet flavoured water, is almost undrinkable. At 150 euros a night this simply is not good enough and I shall be writing to the hotel about this. However, because of the quality of the room, the hotel location and bar drinks being very reasonably priced we will continue to use this hotel for our trips to Rome.

Really convenient location with only 3-min distance to Roma Termini giving you quick and easy transfer to the airport and elsewhere in Italy by train. Rooms have been renovated too. However, front desk staff was really rude. When I dropped my room keys in the transparent plastic box placed on the front desk for an express check-out and turned around leaving the hotel, staff shouted at me asking me to wait in line. The staff said I haven’t cleared my payment and tried to charge me full room rate plus city tax even though I have prepaid the room rate to Agoda in full. True that I haven’t paid city tax but they have swiped my credit card upon check-in or they could have asked me to pay upon check-in either. I suggested the hotel should have hided their express check out box if there is no such option available. The staff bluntly replied it is for guests who have cleared all the payment. It is really ironic who can enjoy express check out, if the hotel doesn’t charge city tax upfront nor charge it to credit card. Meanwhile, the room cleaning is so-so and forgot to refill shampoo/shower gel/fresh tower quite a few times during our stay. Also, the windows isn’t good at isolating street noise. The hotel is in a nice location with a train entrance just down the street. It was very clean, our room was very nice for the four of us and the hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed their breakfast every morning- it had a.good selection of breakfast food. Several great restaurants in the area. We enjoyed the wine bar next door - great food and wine. We also had wonderful drinks at Gatsby’s on the other side of the hotel. It was a 15 minute walk from the main train station which was not bad at all. We had a wonderful dinner around the corner at Vecchia Roma- you must make a reservation or get there before they open to get in line. We got there 15 minutes after they opened and waited 35 minutes for a table but it was worth it. We enjoyed our visit and would stay here again.

Hotel location is very good, you can walk anywhere, whether it is Spain Square or the Colosseum walk in 20 minutes, the subway station is also within a few hundred meters, the service staff is also very kind. However, the hotel bedding is not clean, and the building is relatively old, and the hot water is often stopped. Before I went to see the comments, some people said that there was no hot water suddenly. As a result, I went to the second night and caught it. I washed it with cold water. , so the price is lower.

Great hotel, not far from the train station. We are walking to the Colosseum. In fact, many attractions are within walking distance. The hotel's internal facilities are very good. The suite we booked is very new, free minibar, with lots of small snacks and drinks. The breakfast was great too, and there was a very good ice cream shop in the area near the hotel, which was impressive.

We stayed at the Hotel Ripa Roma for five nights. At first glance, a very well-kept hotel with a good ratio between price and quality. We were well served on arrival after midnight by the receptionist and were able to get to the room quickly. The last day we could check out until noon, but since our flight was in the evening, we could safely leave our luggage at the reception. A plus, because your last day in Rome can also be a nice one this way without luggage dragging. The hotel has a very nice, contemporary and artistic look. We like this very much. The room (superior room) was very spacious, clean and with the necessary facilities. The bed was very good. The bathroom was very hygienic, logically arranged with a pleasant shower. About the room we certainly have no complaints. Only the noise from other rooms and the corridor was disturbing. When the guests in the neighboring room turned on their TV, we could perfectly listen in. When shouting in the hallway, it seemed that those persons were standing next to the bed. The rooms are not really soundproof. Fortunately, we had earplugs with us. We also took breakfast during our stay. Here we are less satisfied. The tableware was dirty (coffee cups brown, cutlery with food residues, plates insufficiently cleaned, glasses full of calcium, ...), in our opinion a limited choice of healthy food (many cakes and cookies) and the hot dishes were cold, even when they were just served. We found the staff unhelpful, even a good morning or a friendly smile was sometimes too much. When we wanted to sit at a table on the small platform in the center of the restaurant, we were sent away because cleaning was already in progress (around 9:30 a.m.). The last two days the hotel was fully booked, which caused a lot of noise in the restaurant. We experienced this as unpleasant. Should we return, we would book a room without breakfast and find a nice breakfast place in town. Finally, we find the city tax on the high side. For the five nights (six days) we pay €60 (= €5 p.p. per day). That is the highest city tax I have ever paid and we are frequent travelers. Overall, a nice stay in a well located hotel, with the breakfast restaurant as a point of interest.

The breakfast was great, there was free afternoon tea, and the front desk and restaurant service were very friendly and attentive. Especially the restaurant, small but very chic, the breakfast is also very complete. The hotel rooms in the Roman city are relatively small, but they are still very clean and tidy. The only thing that is lacking is that the air conditioning in the room is a bit rudimentary.
