Hotels near Le Madonnelle Romane in Rome

I was a guest at the hotel for the last 3 with 120 students and I’m one of the teachers. The second morning, I discovered that my make-up had been stolen, which was very inconvenient and upsetting. I went to the front desk to report this. The lady at the front desk assumed that I was one of the students and replied in a way that seemed very indifferent and careless. She stated the students' rooms were all messy and I probably lost it in my mess. When I told her I was a teacher, she said that my roommate probably took it. This alone is a very inapropriate remark. The fact that my expensive make-up was stolen, did not seem to bother her. That was the end of that conversation, since she stopped replying to my complaint. The conversation was very difficult because her English wasn’t that good. When I addressed the problem again the next day, she told me that it couldn’t have been the cleaning lady because they didn’t clean my room. This was a weird comment because my bed was made and my colleague was at the hotel the whole day and she had seen the cleaning lady in my room. The lady at the front desk said that this wasn’t possible because they didn’t have access to my room because I had the key with me all day and there wasn’t a spare key. She was basically telling me that I was lying. I showed her my key and pointed at the shelves behind her that the spare key was there. She was perplexed. I also assume that a cleaning lady always has a master key. The lady at the front desk couldn’t find any more excuses. I ended the conversation with telling her that I would write a bad review and I would let our travel agent know that I didn’t recommend the hotel to my school. I have been treated with disrespect. You can’t tell your guest that they are liars. I had hoped this incident would be taken seriously and investigated or that I would be compensated. Which didn’t happen.

Movie Movie Hotel has quite new facilities, not like the dated hotels in city center of Rome. It was only 3 minutes walk from metro A line station. The hotel upgraded me to top floor with a spacious room. Everything worked fine. The only complaint was the tiny shelf (not a table) next to the bed. I found not much space to put things next to bed. Other than that, seriously it was a good discovery for visiting Rome for future trips.

Unfortunately my friend chose this because it was close to our airport. But I implore you to look elsewhere as you will find much better places to stay. You will find no food in this hotel. Nor did I see a vending machine. Breakfast is it. And a tiny bar can give you a basic drink or tiny water. The room is basic but was clean. We each got one small lumpy pillow so I needed to ask for more. The shower had seen better days with stained and dirty grout and a shower head that constantly fell down. And the cleaning left much to be desired with long hairs found everywhere. There is a restaurant next door but give it a big miss as the staff are rude and the service and food is horrific. I'm sure that each of us has his own scale of factors to evaluate whether a place is beautiful or ugly but that the added value is the people. In this clean, nice and very comfortable hotel, near the Roma Termini station, it is precisely the people who make a small hotel a point of reference for our trips to Rome. Paola from the reception was, and is, the person who followed us during the booking process and who went out of her way to help us project our photographs on a wall, in a small room set up just for us, a small group of photographers arrived in town for a two day photography course. The location is average, but close to the subway, convenient transportation and affordable.

I chose this hotel based on many positive reviews from many platforms. And I experienced all of the positive reviews. And for the first time I would recommend hotel to my friends and families/relatives. The two rooms were the best : the view, size and amenities. To my surprise, the minibar provided as complimentary. Breakfast : the best breakfast I ever had after more than 30 years traveling for both leisures/family and business trips in Indonesia, Asia and Europe. On top of the buffet menus, we were offered breakfast that personalised for our needs/tastes. Now, two weeks after we left the hotel, my wife and daughter keep telling me about to comeback again to Rome just because this hotel …. All the staffs were helpful and almost excellent. Keep the good work guys, as this hotel’s experiences were the oasis in many disappointments about Rome. One small note : It was a little bit difficult for me to find this hotel, and taking up two large luggage up to the hotel lobby was a little struggle

Honestly couldn't fault our stay here. From the friendly check in we received when we arrived to extra assistance we needed. All the staff we encountered were very helpful, we only had one issue with one of the early morning receptionist we weren't aware the gates were locked we had to ask twice to have the gate unlocked as we had a early morning excursion planned and needed to leave, the man on reception gave us a rather grumpy and short response when we asked to have the gates opened. But apart from that all the other staff went above and beyond for us. From getting us extra pillows on the first night even after the maid service left. On our last evening the receptionist called up our transfer company for us and confirmed our pick up time for us, as our phones wouldn't allow us to call international numbers. On the day we checked out, they even stored our luggage for us behind the front desk as we had a few hours to kill before we got picked up. When our transfer taxi didn't arrive, the receptionist on duty that day couldn't be more helpful,phoning the company for us to find out what the hold up was, even helping organise a different taxi for us to get us to the airport in time for our flights home. Rooms were airy and cleaned daily and in an excellent location for the local metro line. Perfect to use as a base to get away from the hustle bustle of the city centre. Perhaps a welcome guide in the room would be useful to let people know of the times when the gate is locked etc as we weren't aware of this. Overall enjoyed our stay here with the friendly staff and comfy rooms.

The female receptionists are friendly and helpful. But , maintance is required for the room. I was given a bigger room with balcony on 2 nd floor. But the curtain there did not work. People from outside could see directly into the room. So, I needed to change the room again. Also, internet was not working on 2nd floor. In the end, i was given a room on the ground floor.

Excellent hotel, very refined and comfortable place, very friendly and available staff. Ordered and clean rooms. Possibility to communicate with excellent staff. Presence of parking a point for.

Classic education trip to Rome with 2 nights in this hotel with breakfast and dinner included. The photos published are not real, maybe a memory of the times that were, today the structure is unclean, abandoned in maintenance, cleaning and with truly dated furniture. Do not lift your bedrooms to watch the mattresses, you may repent, do not walk on the moquette of the larvae and mached corridors, wait for muffa in the corners and humidity in the walls. We do not talk about the dinner served by improvised servers, where there was always something missing on the table and they have no knowledge of this work; the food was unwilling, once burned, once finished, once spycene unfrozen. The breakfast is not possible with sweet and salt, but drinks from the water-colored machines.
