Hotel Residence Villa Tassoni

I stayed at the Villa Tassoni for one month during a graduate school program. I did not encounter any problems during my stay, in fact, it was very pleasant. I stayed in a one bedroom suite which was clean, spacious and equipped with a kitchenette which was sufficient for cooking small meals. The bathroom was very nice with up-to-date fixtures and plenty of hot water. I had a very nice balcony which overlooked Via delle Medaglie d'Oro. I found that this location was just far enough away from the business of the city to be quiet but close enough for convenience to city center via bus or subway. A cab from centro storico to this location only cost around 10-12 Euros. I found the staff to be very friendly and willing to help with any request. The only drawback to this location is that there are no air conditioners in the rooms which would have been nice as there was a week-long heat wave while I was there. But it's Europe - hardly anyone besides the big chain hotels have air conditioners. All that aside, when I asked the staff for a fan, it was in my room in 10 minutes! Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would return.

This was not a bad place to stay, it was a pretty good location and a reasonable price. It just wasn't up to scratch. We were in appartment 39, maybe others were better but things were lacking in the kitchen area, bathroom was horrible - we avoided using the shower because space was so tight, shower cracked and hot water didn't last long. Also radiators didn't work so we couldn't dry clothes, crockery and cutlery incomplete and not matching and it was not a nice view on one side. We didn't even get toilet paper topped up when we asked. For the money paid and the lack of attention to detail it just wasn't good enough.

Me and mine husband and mine Father stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Our room had 2 floors wich was great becouse mine father stayed at lower floor in single bad and me and mine husband stayed upstairs in twin bed. Air-conditioned was not working over ther very well but after we cover the windows with blanket it helped little. The room had kitchen aneks refrigerator and microwave. The room was nice. Bed super uncomfortable. For the price and quick stop was good. Neer hotel is a bus stop 913 that will take you to center of Rome. It's not five star hotel but it's good for couple nights.

We arrived to a miserable night manager who put us in a ant infested room so I complained to Him that night and he then perked up and offered to help my wife and I with our cases and put us in a nicer room and told us we could spend our remaining nights in this room, why would he not just put us in this room from the start? 2 days later we where woken up at 8am to hammering and drills etc in the room next room to us, they had construction going on next door to us, then after that we heard screaming and shouting ringing threwout they hotel, at this point I had had enough so I went to see which room this shouting was coming from, then to my disbelief I found it coming from the reception, the staff where shouting amongst themselves arguing. I then had to shout at them myself to tell them to stop. It was ridiculous. I will never ever stay here again and if you read this review, seriously consider somewhere different, it’s a dirty unfriendly hotel.

I had a very pleasant stay, the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was really helpful and courteous. The location of the hotel is great, close to everything and its made travel around Rome very easy and affordable. Villa Tassoni is a very nice hotel, with all the facilities needed. Higly recommended!!!
