Hotel Milton Roma

Starting with positive things: Hotel location is great, most of the attractions are available in 30 mins walk, Hop-on Hop-off bus stops are also close. Crew members are kind. Room looks exactly as in pics. Main reasons for rating: Room 130 is extremely noisy, because windows are facing the inner courtyard where hotel restaurant is, plus room is next to the elevator/stairs and the cleaning storage, doors slam - in other words there are always somebody who shouts, runs, knocking, slamming etc. Breakfast was cold and not too delicious. Bathroom is absolutely not as we expected. Although their is nice new tiles, no shower glass or curtain - you literally having a shower next to the toilet, furthermore every time we went to the bathroom there were plenty of ants (see pics attached). As a sum, we enjoyed our stay but neither would choose again nor recommend it, is not worth it for this price.

Positives: - visually it's a nice hotel, with elegant furniture - very nice staff, in particular Puyon and Alessandro! - rooms were made every day without issue - only 15 mins walk to the colosseum - no actual issues to raise Negatives: - not worth B&B basis in our opinion; you might convince yourself to do it to save money on food, but most likely you will do what we did: either skip breakfast to save room for far nicer meals elsewhere in the afternoon/evening, or grab something cheap whilst out and about - the green bar is very expensive; cocktails are twice the price you will pay elsewhere, and a single whiskey set me back €17 Please be aware that the area is a little rough and ready. There's a considerable stretch of homeless 30 seconds up the road which was eye opening, and we had a (very funny) encounter with a rat on the day we arrived! But the area is full of gems when it comes to dining out! Expect to walk 20-45+ mins to get to the main attractions and monuments. 60+ mins walk to Trastevere. But we loved walking! The best way to see the city. The subway is right outside the front door, but you will be warned repeatedly of the pickpockets that are down there.

After reading so many positive reviews, we decided to book this hotel but I didn't expect that I would feel myself so unwelcomed already during the breakfast. In fact, first time in my life I've seen that the staff started to remove dishes and clean the coffee machine BEFOEE breakfast was finished.So, to enjoy breakfast was impossible. Some of the dishes were not refilled : I could guess abt the fruit which were served only by the tables with the names but didn't have the opportunity to eat them. The same situation with some kinds of bread and other dishes. However, I've arrived at the breakfast at 9:30. The guests, who arrived at 10 am- pity, but also had unluck... Pity... I don't understand why I m not allowed to bring my drinks (look at the photo) why should I buy a bottle of water here for €2.50 ??? Why I can't bring my bottle from the shop???

I know that it’s hard to find a very great hotel in Italy but we made it. Milton’s location is great. It’s in the center of the ancient city, but you can reach every parts because the subway is in its door. The staff is very kind, you can not ask any impossible thing, they do their best. I know where to book next time

First time in Rome, and I couldn’t have asked for a better hotel experience. The staff, especially Sara, were so helpful! My boyfriend and I especially enjoyed the breakfast, the spread was impressive. The Manzoni Metro stop being less than a minute walk away made commuting around Rome so easy! For such an affordable price, I definitely feel like this hotel is a no brainier for tourists. The room was perfect. Clean towels, fresh linin etc. Thank you for such a memorable stay.

Great stay in the centre of Rome. Walking distance from the sights, including Colosseum and Roman Forum. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Metro not far away. Room was clean comfortable as well. I was a decent stay. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Nice hotel in the middle of Rome, with many places to see within reasonable walking distance, but still situated in a quiet area. A lazy stroll of less than 15 minutes to the Colloseum, and metro-station ocross the road to the hotel is handy. A handsome breakfast, nice bar, and restaurant around the corner.

It’s a nice hotel stayed there before . The breakfast is great you get everything you need for a great start of the day. We was 20 friends this time staying for 4 nights in Roma the hotel is for us very nice , comfortable, clean and neat. The people who work there are great and very friendly in the reception. We loved the bar the only minus is that the bar closes to early should be open to at least 2 am in the weekends . Part from that the hotel is good
