Hotel Milani

The environment here is really terrible, worse than a 200 RMB budget hotel in China. The decor is incredibly basic. I've been in Italy for a week now, and the hotels in Rome on my first night and then Venice were both cheaper than this place, but their overall cleanliness and decor were much better. This is the first time I've felt this disappointed; I really couldn't resist leaving a bad review. Not giving one would be an injustice to this environment.

I originally wanted to try a new hotel, but it was a total 'photo cheat'! The room was tiny, and the bathroom was tiny (though it was the cleanest and brightest part of the whole space). The gray cement floor made the space feel incredibly oppressive. To pay nearly 1300 yuan a night for this?! At breakfast, I noticed most of the guests were Chinese (the breakfast variety was decent, though). The surrounding area is full of small streets, and it honestly felt very unsafe! There are so many legitimate, large hotels south of the station, and they're even cheaper! Go there instead!

The breakfast was great, with a wide variety of options, and the coffee was especially good, definitely a thumbs up! They offer free luggage storage for the day, but there's an extra charge if you need to store it longer. The hotel is super close and convenient, about 500 meters from the central station.

This hotel is a real gem! It's just a 5-minute walk from the Central Station, very reasonably priced, and includes breakfast. The staff are warm and polite. I loved the hotel's colorful decor, and the rooms also have brightly painted accent walls, plus a sofa and a large wardrobe. The complimentary bottled water was a pleasant surprise, as most European hotels don't offer that. Breakfast was also quite good.
