BB Hotels Smarthotel Bailey's

It was an apartohofel which was disappointing. Limited reception and people living in the block. Lots of comings and goings. Good location in financial district and close to some lovely restaurants . You need to be independent to enjoy the hotel as limited help.

Good location , Excellent bed linen and comfortable bed. Staff friendly , but compared to other 4 star properties in the same area it does not match,it has far fewer facilities, and services. Another negative during our stay was the building works taking place. 07.26 am hammering started , you could hear the workers talking imbetween loud hammering . We understand that it may have not been the hotel themselves but we should have been advised or rooms closed off . We did not expect to be inconvenienced this much.

Had a lovely stay and BB Smarthotel Bailey’s. Lovely hotel with brilliant staff. Service was very good and rooms were clean and comfortable. Special mention to Virginia who was very helpful and made our stay much more comfortable. Recommended!

Was also pleasantly surprised by the BB Bailey’s! The staff and mainly front desk were so accommodating. They made restaurant reservations and scheduled taxis for us many times. The linens were wonderful, bed so comfortable. Beautiful marble bathroom with Ferragamo products! There is a great coffee shop/bakery right around the corner. A fantastic Pinsere restaurant across the street, an amazing elegant restaurant down the street. Close to the train station, a short walk to the Spanish Steps and attractions. The street is very quiet since it’s off the beaten path. There’s a very good gelateria around another corner! A legit bank ATM is also across the street-stay away from Euronext yellow/blue ATMs

My boyfriend and I visited Rome earlier this week and stayed at this hotel. The experience started of well with a comfortable bed and pillows. The cleaners regularly cleaned the room, changed the towels and made the bed. The location was great. Very close to the city centre and main attractions. And then a very large issue occurred. We returned back to our room after the second day to find our room was unlocked and our safe was open. Luckily nothing was taken but that really wasn't the point. I went straight downstairs to reception to raise the issue. I was told that the manager was on shift the next day and to raise the issue with her before we departed. I raised the issue with the manager mentioning that this behaviour was unacceptable. She mentioned that she thought we wanted our safe unlocked and that's why the maintenance man had come into our room and opened the safe. She clearly had got the wrong room and there was miscommunication there end. I then proceeded to mention that the door was left unlocked and that anybody could have walked in. She replied ' well we have CCTV so we would know if someone had entered your room' . Didn't once apologies on behalf of the maintenance man once for leaving our room open. I then continued to mention that we would appreciate some sort of compensation for this issue. At this point the manager started to raise her voice and get very patronising. She pulled open her desk and shouted ' What do you want, a refund'. For someone who has managed myself in the hospitality industry, I would have never spoken to my guests like this. At this point, we had to leave as we needed to catch our train back to the airport. No refund was given as the manger believed that unless something was taken it wasn't her problem. We were not even in the same library let alone the same page. She really wasn't understanding my problem. For what started as a lovely stay, ended terribly after being rudely spoken to by someone who definitely shouldn't be working in a customer service based role let alone a managerial position.

Absolutely loved our stay, was unsure of what to expect but it exceeded our expectations. Fabulous staff, lovely room and the most comfortable bed and pillows! Exceptionally clean room . Great location is a very quiet area. Will be back for sure!

Amazing value for money, when visited in April 2022. High quality bathroom toiletries. Very kind and helpful reception staff. Exceptionally clean and beautiful bedrooms. Only issue is that noises from inside the surrounding rooms can be heard.

Spent 3 nights in this hotel, and have to say we were very impressed. Staff were excellent and very welcoming. For example; reception contacted me directly while in the airport to make sure we would be able to check in ok, as reception closed at 9pm. Location - The hotel is just outside the main tourist area, but only a short 5-10minute walk to Barberini, which in my eyes, is where the tourist experience begins. However, the advantages of this is that the local restaurants, which are excellent, are all priced for locals and very authentic. Termini station is no more than a 10minute walk, with no hills etc. Room & Amenities - On arrival we were greeted with a clean, crisp and bright hotel. I was told before going to Rome that the standard of hotel rooms can be quite small. So to my total surprise, the rooms a quite substantial. With large ceilings giving you a sense of luxury. The bathroom area was bright and offered great toiletries, with marble effect fixtures - Very Roman. The room had complimentary water and a safe, with an Italian expresso machine ready and waiting to give you the kick needed before heading out the door. Overall, I couldn't rate the hotel any higher. If I had to give one 'negative', it would be that there is no breakfast facilities. But lets face it, when in Rome - Who wants to eat in a hotel when you have so many amazing eateries to chose from.

Refused to refund us when unable to travel due to covid . Insisted on giving us a voucher . E mailed them twice to make a booking , did not reply . Today rang them and was told they can’t accept the voucher S is now a different company ! A total con ! We paid them well over 450 euros which they have just pocketed ! They have STOLEN our money ! Avoid like the plague !
