My wife and I stayed at Hotel Best Roma for three nights. The location is quite good – about a 20-minute walk to the Colosseum, with a metro station less than 10 minutes away. There are plenty of restaurants nearby (at least seven within five minutes), and the three we tried were excellent. The staff were generally friendly, the continental breakfast was decent, and our room was clean and tidied daily. However, there were a few issues that took the shine off our stay. We booked a standard room, which had no drawers at all – meaning we had to live out of our suitcases. The wardrobe only had four hangers, and despite requesting more on both our first and second nights, they never arrived. One day we also returned to find the room had been cleaned but completely lacked toilet paper, so we had to go down to reception to ask for some. Overall, this hotel has potential and offers a decent base for exploring Rome. With a bit more attention to the small details, especially in terms of guest requests, it could have easily earned four stars from us.
