The rooms were plain. Not like the photos on line. No pictures on the walls , no decor. The beds were comfortable but they only had one style of pillow. They offered extra pillows but no extra pillow cases even though we requested one. Curtains were ripped, sheets were stained. I brought a personal wash cloth and it was taken the first night and not returned even though they don’t change the towels except every 3 days they managed to take my personal wash cloth that was hanging with my towel that they left for me to use the duration of my stay. The bathroom was not clean including hair and soap residue on the ledge when we checked in. They would take trash from the bathroom bin but not replace the trash bag. Just no common courtesy that you would expect for the price. The reception was area was nice but we only saw someone there 2 times the entire stay. The location was great. A bit noisy at night until around 2am and the elevator would get stuck regularly so we were afraid to use it.

Do not stay here. Horrible rooms. Old and dirty. The showers don’t drain. You have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the elevator and when you get to the 4th floor you have to go down another one. Amenities??!!!!! Nope. Small sachets of shampoo and conditioner no robes. It’s not what it seems to be. Very disappointed After 4 pm no help at all.

HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE at the Mongolfiera Hotel. I wanted to share our HORRIFYING experience at the mongolfiera Hotel in Rome. My family and I have traveled all over the world and have stayed and different kinds of hotels, but this experience was HORRIFYING, we want everyone to know the truth about this hotel. My family of 10 arrived on June 28th, 2024, around 3 pm. This was not a hotel it was an Airbnb! Not accessible to handicapped or older people, the elevator was a box only two people fit, and it was not working most of the time. The elevator is on the second floor so you will have to carry your luggage to the second floor. The place was super tiny, they have little entrances where it seems it's for a bu no one is ever there, we didn't even see cleaning personnel. We all got in super tired from carrying our luggage to the 4th floor and got into our rooms, each room had a Mini-split air-conditioning which was off we turned it on, and the rooms were not cooling, we gave the one that was cooling to our parents. We advised the owner, and she said they were working fine and would stop by to check them. We left them on, we had to get out because it was too hot. We came back exhausted from our traveling and sightseeing we wanted to get to our rooms shower and sleep comfortably and well for the next day. We were going to be in Rome for the next 3 days. I am diabetic and my parents are too, the refrigerators did not work we had to buy ice every single day so our insulins would not be affected and ruined. We had to take cold showers at night to be able to sleep a few hours every day. One of my sister’s rooms and my niece and nephew's room were just HORRIBLE, the room was extremely hot, and all 3 nights they might have gotten 2 hours of sleep, but it was because they were exhausted. We kept texting the owner and she kept lying to us that the issue would be fixed. Every day we left because we had already made plans to go to museums, and places we had tickets to. The owner never fixed anything; she lied a never fixed anything. She only moved one of my sisters to another room but there were 3 rooms including mine that she could have moved us. She had this one room next to my parent's room with 4 beds it would have been perfect for my sister, brother-in-law, niece, and nephew we tested her, and she refused to move them such horrible customer service. Another person staying there heard us going from room to room exhausted from our traveling and sightseeing we wanted to get to our rooms shower and sleep comfortably and well for the next day. Great stay here at La Mongolfiera Rooms in Rome. 100% reccomend this hotel, would definitely come back and book to stay here again. -Excellent location, right in the centre of all the tourist places. On a street that has shops and lots of nice restaurants (in particular recommend ‘Er Polpetta’). -Very CLEAN! - A must for all accommodations. -Lovely service from the owner/receptionist. -Nice spacious rooms with a great view of the streets. -Advise bringing earplugs as streets can be noisy from nearby bars (understandable as where the hotel is situated). -Has a coffee machine, air conditioning and shampoo/conditioner/shower gel in individual pouches. -Can leave baggage here beyond the checkout time.

- Big room - Awesome location - CLEAN - Awesome family owned business - super helpful, friendly - great restaurants and shopping nearby - close to all historic sites My daughter and I stayed at the Mongolfiera Rooms for 6 nights. We were welcomed by the staff and shown our room which was extremely spacious and clean. The bed was huge and super comfortable. We appreciated that the hotel was a small, family owned business. The hotel is centrally located with great shops, restaurants, and historic sites within close walking distance. The staff were very helpful and friendly and provided good recommendations for things to see and places to eat in the area. We will definitely stay here in the future and recommend anyone visiting Rome do so as well.

After some years, I have been back to this guesthouse to spend some wonderful days with my husband. I've literally felt like home. The location is perfect, 1 min far from Navona Square and all the other attractions are reachable on foot. The rooms and the reception are well designed and carefully clean. The staff is very kind, helping me and my husband with airport transfer and best places to visit with some interesting tricks. Inside the room there's a coffee machine with coffee pods and tea bags, marmelade and Nutella cream that are a good start for the day. I've chosen the best place to stay and I will definitely go back there for any other trip to Rome!

Late arrival was a little bit of an issue as we had to send copies of credit cards and also covid certs (even though not is not required by law in Italy) in advance of travel. We found the property easily enough. It was really really clean, with aircon. Amenities were what you would expect from a guest house, soap/shampoo/shower cap (no body lotion) and water in the mini fridge. The hairdryer was installed in the bathroom with a hose, so I would advise bringing your own. The room was good for what we had paid. I didn't realise that this was a guest house and not a hotel when I booked it which was my own fault. If you are happy to stay 4 floors above the really busy street, which was really lively especially over the weekend and you are fit to climb stairs then this is the place for you. If you are a light sleeper I would advise staying somewhere else. There seemed to be some issue with the man (husband of the manager). who did a lot of shouting one morning outside our room before 9am. It made me quite uncomfortable and all the other guests in our party were wakened by him too. I had no issue with the general noise from the street. as we expected that the street would be noisy but would not have expected so much noise from a staff member. It sounded like an argument. Louisa the manager was really helpful and gave us great directions.
