The best feature of this hotel is the central location in the charming and interesting Trastavere neighborhood. The room I had is the one in the main photo on the first floor facing the street with frosted glass and bars on the window. Due to the room location and the chilly weather, I did not open the window. As a result, the room felt a bit dark and disconnected. The "lobby" area is right outside the room. Given the room location, I could hear both conversation with incoming/outgoing guests during the day and passing mopeds at night. Not a deal-breaker, but FYI for those who want perfect quiet while in their rooms. The room was clean and functional, but nothing special. Again, the main reason to stay here is for the location and price--and then to spend your days exploring Rome.

I stayed here in late September with my husband for 4 nights. We'd love to stay here again. From the moment that we arrived, Daniela made us feel so welcome and looked after. She immediately showed us the map of our neighborhood so that we could be better oriented, gave us the basics on how to get around, and was always available by Whatsapp. We arrived tired, sweaty, and starving, and the meatballs at her recommended cafe, Terra Satis, brought us back to life. My handbag strap broke and she even recommended a GEM of a local leather repair shop. Our room, at the back of the first floor, was clean, comfortable, and refreshed each day so that we had all the essentials (towels are replenished every 3 days). Crucially, the air conditioning was cold, and we felt safe walking in the area late at night, even though it gets particularly quiet (peaceful) in this area of Trastevere. The location couldn't have been better, as we were close to everything, and were treated to beautiful views of the Tiber going into the center and returning "home" each day. Mille grazie, we had a beautiful first trip to Rome and in large part thanks to this B&B!

At the arrival, the receptionist was very welcoming and helpful guiding me through the views and the dining, for me this was all I needed. The room was quiet and clean with all the thinks one need, internet, coffee and a snack corner. Breakfast was Italian , cappuccino and cornetto which was great. All in all it was a good experience, I would definitely return also because it’s situated in a very pitoresc roman zone. Liked it a lot. Thank you arco dell’auro ! Thank you Daniela and thank you Lorenza for a great stay.

We where a family with 1 kid and we stayed for 4 nights. The place had a nive vibe good breakfast and friendly staff. Our kid has a allergy to gluten so the staff offerer to get us gluten free bread and even of we offerer ourselves to pay extra they declined and said is no need for it.

This is a great place to stay in Trastevere! Nice and clean rooms, quiet and comfortable. Easy to walk to most sights of Rome and well connected with public transport. The girl at the reception was very gracious and happy to help with whatever you need. For sure we will return to Rome and Arco del Lauro.

A wonderful bnb. The location is the best we could hope for--quiet and calm while also within the vibrant Trastevere neighborhood and close to the historic center of Rome. The location is perfect for walking to major attractions while also being a little bit away from the tourist hustle and bustle. The rooms were very up to date, and the bed was comfortable. The service was excellent, and the host was very helpful arranging early morning transport to the airport.
