I could not have stayed at a worst hotel, if you could name it that. It is more like a hostel from horror land. It is at a great location and that’s about it. Plus, the air conditioning was the only thing working. Firstly, I had called the hotel a few days before my stay to book an airport shuttle. They said send us an email and the charge is €65. Once I landed I couldn’t find the driver and called the hotel. The receptionist said: we didn’t book the shuttle for you because you didn’t email us so take a taxi from there. I said of course I emailed you! Then she said oh yes, but your flight was an hour late. And I replied that that’s the reason I gave you my flight number! By the time she figured out she did book the shuttle but it wasn’t there, an hour had gone by, and I was charged €70 instead. My room was in an apartment across the street from the hotel, where I had problems entering because the lock was really old and didn’t work well. The first night there I couldn’t enter, kept calling the emergency number at around 10pm without an answer, and went to the restaurant across the street and begged a gentleman working there to come help me. After a long struggle, we managed to open the door. The sheets were a little dirty and there was mold in the shower. There is a tiny refrigerator that fits about 4 bottles of water but didn’t work. The next day when I addressed the issue of the door to the receptionist she was very sarcastic and treated me as if I was stupid to not be able to open the door. I asked to be moved to a different room but said they were fully booked. I would never ever stay there again even if it was the last place on earth!
