I could not have stayed at a worst hotel, if you could name it that. It is more like a hostel from horror land. It is at a great location and that’s about it. Plus, the air conditioning was the only thing working. Firstly, I had called the hotel a few days before my stay to book an airport shuttle. They said send us an email and the charge is €65. Once I landed I couldn’t find the driver and called the hotel. The receptionist said: we didn’t book the shuttle for you because you didn’t email us so take a taxi from there. I said of course I emailed you! Then she said oh yes, but your flight was an hour late. And I replied that that’s the reason I gave you my flight number! By the time she figured out she did book the shuttle but it wasn’t there, an hour had gone by, and I was charged €70 instead. My room was in an apartment across the street from the hotel, where I had problems entering because the lock was really old and didn’t work well. The first night there I couldn’t enter, kept calling the emergency number at around 10pm without an answer, and went to the restaurant across the street and begged a gentleman working there to come help me. After a long struggle, we managed to open the door. The sheets were a little dirty and there was mold in the shower. There is a tiny refrigerator that fits about 4 bottles of water but didn’t work. The next day when I addressed the issue of the door to the receptionist she was very sarcastic and treated me as if I was stupid to not be able to open the door. I asked to be moved to a different room but said they were fully booked. I would never ever stay there again even if it was the last place on earth!

The hotel is exceptionally well located near numerous essential city landmarks that any visitor must see, like Piazza Spagna or Fontana di Trevi. The staff is also very friendly and helpful!! Lastly, the rooms are very comfy, which helps you have a restful night.

This is the third time I visited Dimora Frattina and every time I am very satisfied with it. The receptionist Claudia is so nice and so helpful. The room is just the right size with all the amenities including coffee (provided) and a coffee machine. The location is perfect Piazza di Spagna at one end and Via del Corso at the other. You can't be more central than that in Rome.

Wonderful place, nicely located to all most attractions with in 30 min (walking and getting lost is the fun part). Very helpful staff! Rooms were clean and nice, shower had good water pressure and hot water. Already looking to come back! 10/10 recommend

The website is absolutely horribly misleading. It led me to believe that it was a boutique hotel with many services. It is not. The location is great but the accommodations are average. Plus the website claims there are all these ammenities which are NOT there. There is no real lobby, no concierge service, no reception desk open from 8:30 - 1930 as stated, no laundry service, no way to book a hotel shuttle, no breakfast. The room has everything you need but is very dated and does not look like the website pictures at all. It would have been fine if I knew what to expect. It is a fine accomodation if you do not have high expectations.

I never even got to stay here! I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. The customer service is extremely poor. I booked the hotel for 1 night and couldn't even check in as I was arriving at 8pm, I informed the hotel I was going to arrive at that time and they didn't want to even arrange for someone to be available to check me in all they said was ask ******* for a refund. I couldn't even get a refund from ******* as the hotel wouldn't approve it. Avoid at all costs!!

This was an expensive hotel with no rights to be called ‘luxury,’ as advertised. I arrived to the very small room with noise from the exterior, one small white-gray rag for a towel and a bathrobe in the same condition, and a terrible broken mattress with a huge ‘slant’ in the middle. Very uncomfortable for sleeping. There is no support for problems (like a broken shutter that kept slamming shut against the window) because the staff is only present 2-8 pm to take the rather expensive payment. And the worst part about my stay at this hotel is that I was assaulted by the building security person while waiting for my cab right inside the building door with my suitcases. He was hostile and nasty as I passed by on the hallway, loaded down, and then became violent as he tried to force me onto the street (in the very hot sun) and lock the door against me with my luggage on the other side. I reported this incident to the hotel manager. And she actually dismissed his behavior as of normal. Nothing is normal about this place. Instructions are vague, service does not exist. You pay a lot for the type of hotel that should be half or less the price. Please stay away from this poorly run and mismanaged hotel, with the violent angry male security force, most especially if you are a woman traveling alone. I’ve never spent so much money for such awful service in Rome, where I travel regularly and usually and have a great experience. I appreciated the hotel’s open pet policy, but I ended up deeply regretting this booking. It soured my days in Rome. The bed alone is unfit for clients. And who wants to be assaulted in a building corridor by a crazed man who clearly has some issues against the hotel inside — and any female clientele traveling solo? Wish I could get my money back.

The room was extremely basic and located in a different building than the address advertised. The room we were given was so noisy, we stayed there for 5 nights and it was not possible to get any sleep. We asked if we could be moved but the receptionist kept telling me I booked this particular room. I did book a room for 4 people but not one with absolutely no sound proofing and that the whole noise of the street could be heard in the room. She then told me we were in the centre of the city and basically to expect this noise. The positives were that the cleaners were good and the location was fine. You are only given one set of keys which is a problem if a family wants to go to two different places and the reception desk in the other building is closer alot of the time.
