My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Domus Mea. The location of the hotel is in a "working class" neighborhood, so some reviewers thought that meant it was an unsafe area. While it lacked the glitz and glam, the 24 hr. front desk and added security features made us feel very safe. Mark, a front desk associate was super knowledgeable and helpful. He knew my name and made us feel welcome. The AC was also a plus! Though this hotel is only 2 floors in a residential building, it was clean and well-appointed. And seriously...Mark was the highlight of our stay. He is their biggest asset! :-)

It was nice place to stay for a few nights. Room is clean and comfortable. Not far from Termini station is good point as well.

We loved our stay at Domus Mea! James at the front desk greeted us very warmly and was very helpful in meeting our needs and answering our questions. The room was very nice, new and clean. The patio had a nice view.

An old building with a small elevator that takes forever to get down. The hotel itself is situation in a residential building on the 5/6 floors. The kid at the reception was great, very helpful. The room however was a bit of a nightmare space wise. Being a tall person that i am, moving around especially in the shower was impossible. You cannot bend down in it as it was beyond tiny. The front door would hit the bed upon opening. Overall it was a newly remodeled unit.

Honestly the WORST stay. We booked 3 rooms in total, 2 double and 1 queen. The 2 double rooms were totally different. One had a balcony, large bathroom and the other had the tiniest bathroom, to the point where you cannot access the sink unless you close the door & no balcony. We questioned staff on this and they just gave us excuses and said they ‘upgraded’ all 3 rooms which was not the case. The hotel intentionally turn off the hot water (we saw this with our own eyes at the front desk). Obviously to save money. One morning the water was even completely switched off so we couldn’t even shower before our flight. My shower door didn’t close properly so water leaked out causing small ants to gather in the bathroom I know this isn’t the most expensive hotel but at a hotel you’d at least expect to be able to shower. Also- front desk is located on floor 5, no instructions are given with this info prior to booking showing how to use the elevator etc.

Excellent location close to Termini. You do need to call the reception from the front door, but this was never an issue or inconvenience, the reception is manned 24/7 and buzzed us right in. I stayed here with my partner, but for girls travelling alone I would say this is a safe neighbourhood. We ended up extending our stay in Rome and wanted to book this hotel for the remaining days, but then it was unfortunately already booked. Marc in the reception was excellent and a 10 out of 10 host.

Do not expect a lobby, you enter an old building in an area that one can say is not cleanest. Staff claim repeatedly that are new and do not know anything about anything. Bathroom are clean but are set to make customers to not consume water. For instance shower is facing the wall and water is not flowing on you unless one use his hand to hold it. When asked, front desk answer was that owner of the hotel decided so… Not sure about other budget in Rome but this hotel was quite. Safe didn’t work and even when asked to fix it, they didn’t bother to do so or apologies for it. Does bot worth it but they take advantage of Tourists in Rome.

Small rooms but very clean, comfy modern beds with good bedding, wifi ports, air conditioning, flat screen tv. Good value. Quite. Both our rooms included a small balcony (fitting 2 chairs, providing a nice place to have a drink). Picked due to location near Termini and would go back again, although when we rolled up to hotel, I was a little worried as did not have a great entrance - of note, there is no lobby -hotel is the top 2 floors of an older apt building and you have to be buzzed in every time (but spent 4 days there and came back all times and there was always someone manning front desk to buzz you in so wasn't a problem.) Saw photos of old dated rooms from other reviews and I did not have any rooms like that - both my room and my friends were modern, all white, clean, similar to photos on hotel's site (as were others I saw when doors were open or when staff was cleaning). Staff v friendly and helpful. Pics show a dining area, but that was unavailable during our stay - we had to go out daily for breakfast.
