A homestay near People's Square. The phone number left by the hotel is wrong. It took a long time to contact them, but Ctrip customer service was very enthusiastic and kept helping to contact them. Later, they were contacted by email. You can't get in without a door card, and you can't call the landlord, which is quite troublesome. If you are late, they will be gone. The room is OK, not small, but the pictures are beautified. The shower in the bathroom is not inconvenient. It may be an old building. The water quality is a mess, smelly and greasy. Fortunately, there is a bottle of water in the room

The location is very good. People's Square is right next to the hotel. It's very convenient for shopping and eating.
The room is quite large, like a B&B. The couple manages it by themselves, and there is no one at the front desk at night.

Owner Antonio was courteous.
But the unit itself was disappointing for several reasons.
First, there was barely any room to walk on either side of the bed, there was no night /side table that could fit a side table.
Since there’s no space on either side of the bed, the only way to get in and out is by climbing in from the foot of the bed
The bed itself was uncomfortable, was already sagging and really needs to be replaced.
On our first night, we couldn’t take a proper shower because the drainage was badly clogged. I had to reduce the water flow significantly to avoid flooding, but even with very little water, the shower still didn’t drain properly.
We contacted Antonio via WhatsApp but we didn’t hear back from him until the next day—which was frustrating since we needed to shower early in the morning for a 7am appointment.
Drainage was fixed on our second day in the afternoon
The shower glass, base and faucet were visibly dirty and had not been cleaned properly.

Antonio was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. He kept our luggage safe in a separate room after we checked out, so that we could explore worry free for the rest of the day. He also helped me contact an art museum through the phone in Italian when I was having some challenges. Overall would definitely recommend staying here in Rome!
For the reviews that mention noise, I found that the room became very quiet once you closed the windows. I’m very sensitive to noise and I had a great experience here.

Fantastic Owners and Location
Tridente Suites was a great win for our stay in Rome! Antonio, his wife and his staff were beyond gracious and the location, room size and accommodation was perfect for our stay. I'm an American who has travelled to Europe many times and have gotten used to the fact that most hotel rooms are on the small side in Europe. Tridente was perfect, with a fridge for our waters, king size bed, a couple of nice chairs to relax in after a long day of walking and a great bathroom with everything we could need. The Tridente is aptly named due to the three main streets branching from Piazza del Popolo deep into the city center of Rome. Easy walk to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Vatican, you name it. Great restaurants and a few grocery stores and bodegas in close proximity as well. You can't go wrong with this pick~!

A perfect location to access all main touristic attractions. The owner is very knowledgeable and accommodating. We are delighted with our stay, and, most definitely will return here. Highly recomand.
