Full review below. The would have received 3 stars but with the deceitful hotel description available on their website and others a star was removed. This is not a staff issue, this is a management issue. While I don’t often write reviews of hotels, I felt compelled to review my most recent stay at The Corner Townhouse in Rome. My partner and I stayed here for six nights in early August. Overall, it was a mixed experience that I hope will help others when considering this hotel. Pros: The hotel is in a great location. You are near a metro stop and other forms of public transit including busses and the tram. You are also within walking distance (10-15 minutes) of quite a few historic sites including the Roman Baths and the Colosseum. The hotel is also located on a street with quite a few small cafés and restaurants, which is helpful when you are wanting to get something to eat but not wanting to go far. The hotel was also very quiet. While it is close to tourist spaces, the street right outside is a fairly quiet one. The other pro was the overall look of the hotel and rooms. I enjoy historic spaces and older buildings. This hotel has a fun feel to it and the pop elements they have brought through color and art make the rooms unique. They are a little beaten up in places, but that happens pretty easily in hotels, so I don’t hold that against them. Cons: The main issue with this hotel is they are misrepresenting themselves on their website. Many statements on their site are completely false. This is not a 4 star hotel as they say. It is a 3 star at best and maybe a 2. For example, we didn’t even have a proper room number outside our door. There was just a panel with wires sticking out where the number plate should be. They also claim on the website they have “dedicated 24-hour concierge.” This is not true. Most of the time there was only one person working at the hotel at all and often you went by the front desk and no one was even there. When we had some questions our first night there, the man at the front desk said he was “just security” and couldn’t help us too much. The website also boasts “our soft bathrobes will pamper you during your stay in the hotel or after relaxing in our Wellness room.” There were no bathrobes in our room and we never saw or were told about any “Wellness room.” The website also says “breakfast is specially designed for our guests” and that it is “served in our indoor and/or outdoor spaces.” We paid for breakfast with our room. On the first morning, we came down for breakfast and were escorted by the one of the staff members out of the hotel, down the stairs, onto the sidewalk, and down about a block and a half to a café where we were told we could order two drinks and two food items per person each day and we just had to give them our room number. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels with breakfast and have never seen such a situation. The café was a good, but having to leave your hotel for the breakfast you paid for is an

We had an amazing stay at The Corner Roma. Mauro and the entire staff could not have gone out of their way more to make our stay wonderful! They advised us on our travel plans. They gave us detailed directions on how to get to Pompeii so we could navigate the train system. We had them set up a private car to/from the airport which was so worth the extra money. The room had everything we needed and was very comfortable. There is also a restaurant just a block away where we ate three different times because it was so good and affordable. We really could not have asked for more for our stay in Rome! We highly recommend The Corner Roma!

The number one reason to stay at this hotel is Mauro, the day manager who makes everyone who enters the hotel feel that he is happy to see and to serve them. In fact, all the staff were great. The second reason is the location. This is a real Roman neighborhood. Third, the hotel cat who patrols the garden/terrace. However, the actual accommodation was problematic for us. The very small bathroom had a sink with no place for a dobb kit--the bidet had to serve this function. Outside the bathroom is a large room with a free standing tub--just not a good use of space. Our closet was in this room and it was not functional-- no light to see into the closet, small cubbies and nowhere to hang anything longer than a shirt. And the color of the room--dark charcoal...it was perpetually night. I felt as if the color palette was very trendy when the hotel was first renovated, but now the hotel needs to be re-thought and refreshed. I am wondering if the first three reasons to stay at this hotel are enough to bring us back.

We have just returned from a three night trip to Rome staying at The Corner Townhouse. The hotel is in a perfect place for exploring Rome and all its glory, mostly by foot. The staff are amazing, offering suggestions of places to visit, eat drink, where to avoid, depending on your own likes and dislikes. Mauro is a great host with excellent English ( as have they all ). Everywhere is clean, the bed was so comfortable and made a great nights sleep inevitable after a long day exploring. There is a restaurant and cocktail bar attached but run by a different management team, so the bills are separate to the room. It does need a little t&c in some areas but for us the friendliness of the staff together with its location and comfort far outweighed anything else. We Cant wait to go back next year and go to the places we didn’t manage this time!

Excellent structure near Circus Maximus, the hotel is quite small, but nothing is missing, the friendliness and attention towards the customer is good, the accommodation I had was nice with a nice balcony, the possibility of managing lights, TV and air conditioning, directly from the Ipad in the room. Breakfast is provided in the bar next door, it is really good, although obviously it is not a buffet, there is also the possibility of having a drink in the garden bar. The presence of the cat Rocco, in the hotel curtains, is fantastic, greeting and checking every customer who enters the structure.

Very disappointed with this hotel, the service offered when booking was non-existent. Breakfast in a roadside bakery, only coffee, orange juice and pastries. The spa is a project, please note that there is no spa, I asked when booking for a room with two beds, I was traveling with my niece, this was not taken into account. No one at reception, the receptionist is on the terrace in a deckchair. Bathroom, not finished, no place to put our toiletries, therefore on the floor and defective lighting. I do not recommend this hotel.

Planned stay of a few days which had to be shortened due to several misleading information concerning the hotel's services. The SPA is non-existent, neither is the breakfast. For a room at 300€ per night I think there are things to review, the price or the services to choose! In terms of location if you want to be closer to all the monuments I don't recommend it either.

Only spent one night. Small but welcoming hotel located in an Art Nouveau building 200 meters from the Circus Maximus. Structure with only 9 rooms and, you have to say, mine had a little too much space sacrificed. A lot of technology via Ioad to manage lights and climate which was presented to us summarily and which we were unable to make work. Very comfortable bed, very large bathroom with shower, excellent quality of the towels and bathrobe. During the renovation we were not able to have breakfast in Logo but in a nearby bar (they accompanied us). The outdoor terrace is pleasant for an aperitif or after dinner. The young people who took turns at reception were very kind. Price a little high.
