I admit to being, to say the least, surprised by the reviews on ********** and the quality/price ratio of this hotel.
Traveling very often, all over Europe, I thought that a room for 3 for over 100€ per night not in the heart of Rome would be perfectly fine.
However, as soon as we entered the room, we made a face. I won't dwell on the outdated decor, everyone's tastes are different. On the other hand, we are really in the low end: broken furniture, walls full of marks and holes, camp beds, sub-brand flat screen TV barely 45cm, sachets of soap worthy of Formula One...
And breakfast isn’t even breakfast! Vacuum-packed croissants and a fridge are left for us to fend for ourselves (on our own). Even no chocolate or possibility of heating milk for the children (no microwave). No fruit…
I know very well that we are not in a four-star hotel (what the manager told me by text message), but here we border on camping.
After contacting **********, I was changed rooms without apology or explanation. A bit better, but still the same disappointments (a simple lick of paint would have already helped a lot!)
And when I see that I am also made to pay local tax... whereas when trying to book the hotel for other dates, this is not the case...
In short, at the level of a hotel without or with 1 star, nothing more.
To be honest, the staff, when you saw them, were very friendly, but that's not enough!
