As soon as you arrive, seeing the condominium in which this small b&b is located, you will be left breathless... but not in a positive way... The condominium is old, dilapidated and not looked after... The b&b however, located on the first floor, is a little gem of only three rooms. Ours, no. 1, spacious and with balcony... The bathroom is also spacious although, looking good, with small negative details in terms of cleanliness and noise (the bathroom drain gurgled in an absurd manner)... The same goes for the apparently never-seen balcony... There is a small breakfast room where you can find everything you need for a morning breakfast (which you will have to have in your room due to the lack of space) or for sudden night-time pecks... The positive sides are the daily tidying up of the rooms, the proximity to the Vatican museums and the metro (Cipro stop) 5 minutes away on foot.. Nicola, the owner, is very kind and available for anything you need.. Personally, I find the price indicated inside the room (220 euros) a bit excessive.. The district (Prati) isn't much... Few places and a sense of decay and dirt which, unfortunately, is found as soon as you leave what is "tourist" Rome (beautiful for its monuments, history, fountains and buildings in the centre). If you want to have lunch or dinner in Trastevere you will have to rely on taxi or Uber (around 25 euros each way)... Overall we had a good time as it was a solution for overnight stay only.. A tip: leaving the b&b by going down the stairs which immediately you will find on the left, on the right you will find a little bar with excellent breakfasts and lunch breaks.. The staff is very kind and the prices are honest... For the visit to the Vatican museums we had booked online with a guide for 70 euros for two people.. If you go alone you will pay 17 euros per person... Maybe you will have to queue at the entrance but I assure you the visit will be less stressful and long (after about an hour we abandoned the guide and continued on our own)... Take the metro and turn around Rome at feet (all things to see are connected)... Don't forget a visit to the Ghetto for an aperitif or a quick lunch... For dinner choose Trastevere with its picturesque restaurants...
