Argileto Terra

Popped to Rome for a couple of days before we go up to Arco. Casa Argileto beautiful little hotel in the centre of Rome. Couldn't have wanted to be in a better place, literally can see the monument to Victor Emmanuel 2 from the rooftop breakfast room so close to the coliseum and forum. Plenty bars and restaurants around us for all budgets.

We had the best experience at this hotel. Our train was late getting there from Switzerland but Sabrina stayed and checked us in. She was wonderful always willing to help with anything and so friendly. This hotel is walking distance to the Trevi Fountain, Coliseum, Spanish Steps and so many restaurants. To make it even better I left a necklace in the safe in our room and sent them an email about it the day after we got homel. They not only found it but mailed it to me just days later. I would love to go back to Rome and will definately be staying in this wonderful hotel.

Very cetrally located and lovely staff. We had some problems with the electricity, but Jason was an absolute star and went out of his way to look after us. As far as location, if you want to be near the Forum, it woud be hard to do better.

The staff was exceptional. Very helpful.

Residenze Argileto is situated just a couple of hundred yards from Forum Romanum and Colosseum. A perfect spot. And it's got a fine breakfast area on top of the building (the roof terrace). You're eating right next to jacuzzi. And the view is not bad at all. Freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly made espresso, lots of fruit and cheese, yoghurt and much more. Really nice. The room however was/is a different story... You don't have to bring your own band aid... it's right there on the floor (see picture). Dust balls under the bed. The room has a nice scent of sewer, and the hotels garbage bins seem to be right under our window. The bed is almost about to crack. And then there is the bathroom... You will have a marvelous view watching your partner do his/her toilet business. Yes, you can pull out a small curtain, but the whole idea is somewhat silly (see pictures). And if you have to pee in the middle of the night, you'll definitely run a risk of waking your partner up, since the bathroom light will light up the whole room. Great! You pay for the location (and it's not cheap), the hotel is very average. We spent two nights at floor one. We will try another hotel next time.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. The hotel is very clean and welcoming. The bed was comfortable and the facilities provided were of a great standard.
