Hotel Shangri-La Roma by Omnia Hotels Reviews

My room was spacious and clean. The bathroom had good toiletries. It is easy to get to the airport but out of the main area for shopping and site seeing. However there is a metro about 20 minutes walk away, and a shopping centre about 15 minutes walk away. I really appreciated assistance from staff with good English for sorting out day trips and local directions. The air conditioning worked well and was much appreciated in the sweltering heat.

Clean and they attended to me very politely.

The hotel is so nice, but the location is not really well, it approximately take at least 50 minutes to Rome downtown or attractions.

No body shampoo, no hair conditioner in the bathroom. I will never stay this hotel again…

This hotel is very far away, very average, very little breakfast, the hotel reception is very impatient, there is a sense of discrimination, I don't recommend staying here, because Rome taxi is expensive, it takes 30 minutes to walk to the nearest subway station, it's really tiring, I really don't recommend staying here

The room is large and clean, but the soundproofing is poor. Someone checked in late on Saturday night and it was noisy. The service is good. You can ask the front desk for an electric kettle to boil water. The hotel is in a good location, with a large shopping mall nearby.

The online booking showed that it was a 4-star Shangri-La Hotel. When we arrived, we found that it was a resort with three floors. The key point was that the room was not big. The elevator could only accommodate one person with a large piece of luggage. The central air conditioning was not turned on. After registering with the boss, we asked them to go to the room first. After registering, we entered the room and were shocked. The room temperature was 31℃ and there was no air conditioning. We quickly went to the boss's room to see that the door was propped up with a chair and the window was open. The key point was that the air in the inner room was not convective. I looked at the temperature and it showed 32℃. I quickly went to the front desk to negotiate. They still didn't agree. At that time, a foreigner was also very hot and was negotiating. Then the service staff went to check and it was indeed not okay, so they changed the room. Therefore, don't be superstitious about the star rating of foreign countries.

Initially we were given a room on the ground floor with humidity problems. There was a noisy dehumidifier running 24 hours a day. We asked to change rooms and they accepted our request. The restaurant is good. Excellent breakfast.

The surrounding environment is average, 1.6 kilometers away from the subway station. Living in it is like an IKEA in China. Although it is called Shangri-La, the breakfast variety is pitiful and completely disappointing.
