There is nothing good about this hotel except the location.

A perfect jumping off point to explore Rome. Easily walkable to the Vatican, Vatican Museums, Spanish Steps, Trevi, Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Villa Borghesi; and with multiple bus stops within a 5 minute walk, we were able to reach our other more distant site seeing destinations easily. The breakfast offered was great to start the day and they have good options for gluten free travellers. All of the staff were very helpful and welcoming. It was a comfortable refuge after busy days of site seeing. We stayed for 8 nights Feb.4- 11, 2024.
I would highly recommend the Hotel Diplomatic to anyone pkanning a trip to Rome.

The front desk was so kind and friendly! They made our stay comfortable and even ordered a pizza for us in Italian!!:) The breakfast was delicious and they made me a cappuccino every morning-so good! Great location, close to everything yet far enough away from high traffic tourist areas. Would stay here again!

The hotel is well run and maintained. The location in Prati is one of the best with a very busy shopping and dining street filled with locals. You get a true picture of life in Rome!

We stayed in Rome for four days and three nights. Hotel Diplomatic was everything we needed, I read reviews before booking that it was dated. Personally I found it to be authentic, clean and air conditioned.
The staff were friendly and helpful, our flight wasn't till the evening, however they were happy to let us relax in their lobby area while we waited for our cab.
The location is perfect, in-between Trevi fountain and The Vatican it is walking distance from everything.
It has some lovely restaurants all in walking distance, especially Pupina restaurant which is a 2 min walk from the hotel - great food.
Great stay and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, nice that there's a breakfast. Very clean. However, it's a bit old, definitely 3 star. Good value, good location.
