It is close to train station and airport, but hotel shuttle bus to airport for guests are not free of charge, each person needs to pay Euro 10 and make the reservation one day before.
Breakfast is good. But the attachable shower head has too short and the water is too hot even switching to the middle.
The window can’t be opened, maybe because of security, but at 5 am, big noise outside woke me up, don’t know why

The Holiday Inn Rome was a nice place for a layover. The pool was nice and there was a small bar attached. The staff were friendly. The location means that you can really only enjoy the food inside the hotel unless you travel into town. There is not much else within walking distance.

This hotel is clean, and the rooms are comfortable, but honestly, that’s about the only good thing I can say. The staff are not friendly, and if you’re an English speaker, I’d suggest avoiding this place. None of the staff seem to have even basic English skills, which is surprising for a hotel close to an international airport.
At check-in, they didn’t bother explaining anything—no breakfast times, no Wi-Fi password—we had to figure everything out ourselves or ask. Ordering food was a nightmare; we asked for pizza and got something that looked like garlic bread because of the language barrier. On top of that, they often ran out of items on their menu, so we ended up having to order takeout.
There was also an incident where we wanted to heat up some food. The first guy told us to come back later because he was the only one working, but when we came back, the next person flat-out refused to help.
What made it worse was how they treated us compared to other guests. At breakfast, we were repeatedly hassled for our room number, while other people walked in without being stopped or questioned. It felt discriminatory and unfair.
So, while the hotel is clean, don’t expect good service. If you care about customer service or a welcoming atmosphere, this is not the place to stay.
