Triple room booked as advertised on website via *********** cost £567 up front. Arrived. Poorly signposted as to where entrance:reception is. Eventually found “hotel” no reception as advertised small room with member of staff. Unable to view as not ready. Went away for few hours then returns. Very jet lagged up since 2am. Returned to go to room late afternoon. No staff. Entered room, to our dismay small room with shower, window and donkey bed. We are travelling SIBLINGS and we made this known. We eventually found young female member of staff, we discussed where the 3rd bed was that we had pain for. Was told rooms fully booked. Spent 45 mins trying to communicate our needs and what we had paid for. Manager eventually showed up. Suddenly had difficulty understanding/speaking English 😞. Hour later still discussing/trying to resolve issue of needing 3rd bed as can not share!! We will still not accommodated and we eventually left and had to find alternative dwellings. We are still trying to get a refund from *********** who except no liability! Worse things is..the hotel said we were no shows!!! So disappointing and financially inconvenient. Never the less we saw in the new year in Rome with a big bang!! Please avoid booking through a platform, they offer you no protection and take no responsibility. We are unlikely to receive any refund let alone compensation. 😟
