My experience with Excellence suite was amazing since the day I booked the room. The team was always responsive to my questions before we arrived as it was my first trip to Rome and I had some concerns. When we arrived, the welcoming was very good. The lady was very nice and explained everything to us. The room was big, clean and has all the amenities needed (towels, shower gel, kettle, tea..). The room was arranged on a daily basis. The hotel is close to main attractions, we could walk everywhere without using any other kind of transport. The neighborhood is calm at night and during the day. You can sleep easily without hearing voices from the street. Overall, my stay was amazing there and I highly recommend this place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Art Hotel. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and our request for our two rooms to be near each other was accommodated. The rooms were very comfortable and everything we needed was available. The breakfast choice was vast and very fresh. One annoyance: the restaurant chairs are very big and heavy; great for couples sitting at a table, but not brilliant for three or more people! The location of the hotel was fantastic. We were able to walk everywhere during our four night stay, with a great choice of restaurants, cafes and wine bars only a few minutes walk away. I don't often like to visit the same hotel twice, but if returning to Rome, would certainly book Art Hotel.

The Superior Apartment that we stayed in was on the 5th floor. It was perfect for our family of 5 (Grandma, Mom, Dad, 3.5 yr old, and 18 month old). They had a pack and play ready for our littlest one, and the pull out sofa bed was already nicely made up and ready for our arrival. We were ever so grateful that the Oriana Homel accommodated an early check in, so we were able to get picked up straight from the train station and taken to our apartment. The place was large and excellent for walking to all the destinations. We found it a great home based to come back and rest/relax after a ton of walking. Great restaurants nearby. Some good things to note for families: small elevators, but they weren't busy and we could easily shuffle up multiple loads of luggage at a time. Back entrance is best for meeting airport transfers, etc. The Oriana Homel arranged all our transfers and they were wonderful with being on time, communicative, knowledgable, and comfortable vehicle arrangements. The only thing I wished the apartment had was an in unit washer/dryer. They did recommend a laundry service nearby, but it would have been nice to wash the kids' clothes during our stay.

The ho(s)tel was brand-new, and very clean! The beds where a bid hard, but thats personal preference. We asked for more pillows and towels, and they happily obliged. The breakfast buffet is pretty basic, so don't expect any warm/hot food like fresh eggs or bacon - but it's all you need. The whole staff was superfriendly. The location is perfect, as it's sitting at walking distance from the most famous sights: Colloseum, Trevi, ... Apart from that - it's only a 4-min walk from the metro-station 'Republica'. There's a convenience store located right in front of the hotel, which also comes in handy for getting a few bottles of water for the road. Would recommend, and definitely stay here again!

The hotel was great- it's located 10 mins from termini central station (so easy to get there from the airport and no need to walk alot with your luggage), and from piazza della repubblica (so close to another metro station). The location was great because it's walking distance to everthing you want to see (I only took the metro to the vatican- you could also walk there, which I did on the way back when I had more time). There are also good restaurants, gelaterias and shops in the area (as it's located next to via nazionale and the opera house) and they are usually less expensive and crowded than those near famous sites (so I ate there almost every evening). I had a single room which was clean and had everything I needed (comfy bed, safe, hot water, wifi, etc.). The staff was really nice and helpful (they are there 24/7, and you can leave your luggage with them if you need), and the breakfast was good. I would definitely stay there again next time I visit! Thank you.

Really convenient location with only 3-min distance to Roma Termini giving you quick and easy transfer to the airport and elsewhere in Italy by train. Rooms have been renovated too. However, front desk staff was really rude. When I dropped my room keys in the transparent plastic box placed on the front desk for an express check-out and turned around leaving the hotel, staff shouted at me asking me to wait in line. The staff said I haven’t cleared my payment and tried to charge me full room rate plus city tax even though I have prepaid the room rate to Agoda in full. True that I haven’t paid city tax but they have swiped my credit card upon check-in or they could have asked me to pay upon check-in either. I suggested the hotel should have hided their express check out box if there is no such option available. The staff bluntly replied it is for guests who have cleared all the payment. It is really ironic who can enjoy express check out, if the hotel doesn’t charge city tax upfront nor charge it to credit card. Meanwhile, the room cleaning is so-so and forgot to refill shampoo/shower gel/fresh tower quite a few times during our stay. Also, the windows isn’t good at isolating street noise. I'm sure that each of us has his own scale of factors to evaluate whether a place is beautiful or ugly but that the added value is the people. In this clean, nice and very comfortable hotel, near the Roma Termini station, it is precisely the people who make a small hotel a point of reference for our trips to Rome. Paola from the reception was, and is, the person who followed us during the booking process and who went out of her way to help us project our photographs on a wall, in a small room set up just for us, a small group of photographers arrived in town for a two day photography course. I slept the best in Italy, and I'd like to book it again next time I go to Rome.
The room is not big, but the layout is clean, tidy, warm and comfortable, relaxing. Sound insulation is well handled. The bed and pillows are very comfortable.
The whole hotel is designed to be fresh and pleasing and looks very new.
The front desk service is also very professional.

Honestly，my experience this hotel is a little bit lower than equivalent level hotel. The mattress in this hotel is not bad. However， unfortunately， it mattress gonna be only point I satisfy with it. The service is normal，but their equipment maintenance is concerning，there are several bulbs down in my room and the shower door in the bathroom seems hard to push. Most importantly，air conditioner in the room is not powerful enough which is a terrible infomation for tourist in this summer. The picture attached in this comment is it outside environment，it might be not clear enough， but I have to say it outside is too dark😂， but it is not a luxury hotel in city centre， therefore it is still acceptable .
This hotel is generally good， but there are still large spaces that it can move forward to increase it customer satisfaction.

XXIAOLANThe hotel is newly renovated, very clean, booked triple room, is a large bed, there is a sofa bed, the sofa bed is paved. Mini bar food and refrigerator drinks (Coke, Sprite, Orange Juice, Soda, 2 bottles of mineral water) are free, but they are no longer added after use. The breakfast was great and very rich. There is an open-air bar on the top floor, which is open at night. You can sit down and chat without a drink. The hotel is ideally located for all of Rome’s sights.

LLauWendyMy trip is in February, the room is very hot, it still open heater no air conditioner, we have to close the heater and open the window but it is very loud as close to the main street.
I asked for a fan but the reception said no fan to be provided..
I requested the upper floor when I booked in the trip.com, but Reception said no requirements are received, but finally they changed us to 8 floor
We booked the breakfast but it is usual cannot say better.
Overall, I have to say the price is not worth for this hotel, I will not choose this hotel for my next trip to Roma.

DDe Bruyn - HendrickxWe stayed at the Hotel Ripa Roma for five nights. At first glance, a very well-kept hotel with a good ratio between price and quality. We were well served on arrival after midnight by the receptionist and were able to get to the room quickly. The last day we could check out until noon, but since our flight was in the evening, we could safely leave our luggage at the reception. A plus, because your last day in Rome can also be a nice one this way without luggage dragging.
The hotel has a very nice, contemporary and artistic look. We like this very much. The room (superior room) was very spacious, clean and with the necessary facilities. The bed was very good. The bathroom was very hygienic, logically arranged with a pleasant shower. About the room we certainly have no complaints. Only the noise from other rooms and the corridor was disturbing. When the guests in the neighboring room turned on their TV, we could perfectly listen in. When shouting in the hallway, it seemed that those persons were standing next to the bed. The rooms are not really soundproof. Fortunately, we had earplugs with us.
We also took breakfast during our stay. Here we are less satisfied. The tableware was dirty (coffee cups brown, cutlery with food residues, plates insufficiently cleaned, glasses full of calcium, ...), in our opinion a limited choice of healthy food (many cakes and cookies) and the hot dishes were cold, even when they were just served. We found the staff unhelpful, even a good morning or a friendly smile was sometimes too much. When we wanted to sit at a table on the small platform in the center of the restaurant, we were sent away because cleaning was already in progress (around 9:30 a.m.). The last two days the hotel was fully booked, which caused a lot of noise in the restaurant. We experienced this as unpleasant. Should we return, we would book a room without breakfast and find a nice breakfast place in town.
Finally, we find the city tax on the high side. For the five nights (six days) we pay €60 (= €5 p.p. per day). That is the highest city tax I have ever paid and we are frequent travelers.
Overall, a nice stay in a well located hotel, with the breakfast restaurant as a point of interest.

AAnonymous UserLots of on site parking. Laundry service recommended across the hotel were amazing and friendly. Room was very small though. Blow dryer didn’t work. Not enough bench space in the bathroom. Overall cleanliness was great. The fridge was nice and cold. Although they don’t have a stocked fridge and you would have to go down to get bottled water. Variety of breakfast choices. Drinks were okay and coffee was from an instant coffee machine which was okay. Staff weren’t around often to ask for fresh coffee. Front concierge were friendly though and very helpful.

GGuest UserMaybe it's because they can charge you with 6€ per person city tax? I'm not very happy with this hotel. Thin walls, expect to hear everything from neighbours, the room was directly beside the restaurant, mildew (my wife had problems with allergic reactions), not clean, older than it looks, unrepaired damages / open electrical wires (dangerous?), breakfast is absolutely minimum, coffe machine spends only quarter cup (need to push it 2-3 times), mostly sweets for breakfast, cheapest food / bread, area around is really not nice -＞ full of trash / plastic / smeels dirty, streets are damaged a lot, nothing interesting except carrefour in this location, the hotel ofers nothing special (no sauna, no swimming, no sport, nothing), the breakfast room has no windows (feels really cold, like a school hotel), to get to rome it takes minimum 40 minutes if you have luck. For us it has taken minimum 1:20 to rome / vatican. Service said the commerce is open 24x7, I went 3km, it was closed, open only until 10:30pm. No sauna, nothing to entertain. Conclusion: I would spend a few hundreds more to get a real 4 stars hotel. This here was 2 stars, but really not more. For me this looks really untrustworthy. This was by far the worst 4 star hotel I've ever been. I really can't understand that high rating. Therefore I think, it's (again) just to get a high city tax. We have payed additonally 36€ for two persons for 3 nights. Anyways, the personal was kind to us. It's not their fault. It seems the management tries to get each cent from the visitors.

GGuest UserAbbiamo alloggiato in questo albergo per due notti. Appena arrivati ci hanno sistemato in una casetta esterna alla struttura principale con circa 5/6 stanze. Abbiamo lasciato le valige velocemente per andare a cena, e solo al nostro ritorno abbiamo iniziato a notare delle cose che via via sono andate a peggiorare. Abbiamo richiesto un ferro da stiro, e ci è stato detto che non sapevano dove fosse e che avrebbero chiesto l'indomani alla signora delle pulizie. In vari hotel a 4 stelle il ferro da stiro è addirittura presente in camera! Rientrati in stanza, abbiamo iniziato a notare dettagli relativi alla pulizia e all'aspetto della stanza. Nella doccia erano presenti capelli, la tavoletta del gabinetto era totalmente ingiallita (costo su Amazon € 15 spedizione inclusa!), l'unica sedia presente in stanza aveva un cuscino bianco con delle macchie nere e la pellicola protettiva totalmente strappata. A parte delle abat jour presenti ai due lati del letto, non esisteva un punto luce sul soffitto. Il telecomando della TV era rattoppato con dello shock nero, e appena preso in mano lo shock si è tutto srotolato. Ma il bello è arrivato quando, richiedendo un quarto cuscino che ci è stato prontamente portato, ho notato che esternamente aveva un mega alone giallo a chiazze. Inorridita ho avuto la malsana e fortunatamente giusta idea di controllare anche gli altri tre cuscini... Due di questi erano pieni di macchie gialle all'interno, anche sui bordi, che fuoriuscivano dal lenzuolo!! Chiamato il ragazzo alla reception l'ho caldamente invitato di portarmi cuscini immacolati, data soprattutto la presenza di mio figlio di 3 anni, altrimenti davvero avremmo dormito senza! Se non avessimo anticipato il pagamento (struttura consigliata come seconda opzione per un matrimonio) ce ne saremmo andati all'istante. Ci servirà da lezione: chi chiede il pagamento anticipato non è un albergatore serio!!! Dopo vari minuti sono stati portati i cuscini, puliti, ma senza nemmeno una scusa e nemmeno una parola! Ulteriore tasto dolente: la colazione ... Una colazione del genere viene offerta forse in un albergo a due stelle! Arredamento della sala imbarazzante, colazione misera, senza opzioni sempre presenti in un 4 stelle come le uova o della frutta fresca, bevande calde da una macchinetta di pessima qualita', due scelte di succo annacquatissimi... Il top è la vaschetta degli affettati... Di plastica, con delle crepe al livello della maniglietta per sollevarla, storta.... Il mio bimbo che adora il prosciutto cotto ne ha mangiato una fetta, mi ha guardato e mi ha detto che non era buono... E aveva ragione! 4 stelle dove? Anche 3 stelle sarebbero regalate! L'unica cosa positiva che ho visto: la cameriera della sala colazione, da sola, che correva da una parte all'altra e lavorava come una matta e senza che le chiedessimo nulla ci ha portato la sedia in più per il bambino mettendoci in un punto con più spazio, dato appunto le dimensioni ridotte della stanza. Prima e ultima volta!

GGuest UserThe location of this apartment is incredible. It is very close to many attractions. No need to take a taxi. There are also many supermarkets nearby and buses are very convenient and suitable for tourists. The facilities and equipment are also good enough to cook some simple meals. The disadvantage is that the network is very unstable and there was no hand sanitizer and shower gel when we checked in. Overall good.
