The Hive Hotel

Termini Central Station Rome|2.51km from Arte Marca
Great location. Any major attraction can be reached within 20 minutes. Spacious room with a very comfortable mattress. Very helpful staff both at the reception and during room service. We initially had a corner room, but found it a little noisy for us. At the reception they changed it without any problems for another one. There are several good restaurants nearby. Reception's recommendations were also excellent. The hotel does not have its own parking lot, but in the same building on the base floor there is a garage (not the hotel), which can be accessed without entering the ZTL zone. Price 35 euros per day. But opposite the garage there is a paid city parking lot, where you can also leave your car. To get into the hotel from a garage or parking lot, you need to call from downstairs so that a receptionist will come and open the door to the elevator hall. We liked the breakfast. There was a bit of a lack of variety in egg dishes, but there was plenty of other stuff. I think the main disadvantage is the paid gym and spa. And if the spa is somehow explainable, then the gym is usually free for hotel guests. The price for visiting guests is 9 euros. Restaurant is fine. You get the voucher with 20% discount when check-in so the price becomes reasonable. Overall we enjoyed our time at the hotel and will return here again. Good location, very convenient by bus, walking to the Colosseum is also very close. When I arrived at night, I couldn’t find a place to live and die. I didn’t think of the hotel in a church. When I was sleeping, the quilt was very thin. I felt that all Italy was a thin quilt. Breakfast was not good. I drank the most difficult coffee to drink so far. I suggest that I should find a cafe outside to enjoy breakfast.....

We arrived (two families with children) in this structure in an emergency situation due to various vicissitudes that I am not here to discuss, on December 31st. Rome was fully booked everywhere, accommodating 9 people was a challenge and we paid dearly for it... €470 for one night, but let's say we can stay there. We decide to stay for the rest of the holiday as well, so until the 4th for reasons of comfort. We are assigned 3 triple rooms, 110€ per night per room, without breakfast. One of the very small rooms: a double bed and a single bed in about 12 square meters with the promise to change rooms on the third day. Rough cleaning, no discount for room size. At the exchange, instead of a double and a cot, I find myself a room with 3 singles, obviously unsuitable for my needs, not very clean (balls of dust on the floor, *****a in the tent). To remedy what happened, he promises me to have the room cleaned thoroughly and the beds put together (well…). The cleaning was not as expected, little or nothing has changed compared to the night before. In all this, which is absurd in my opinion and never seen before, he made us pay for the whole stay in advance. After the complaint and the request for a discount, due to the fact that I paid for one thing and I was given another treatment, the answers were these: - for cleanliness, it's not a 5 star; - I can't apply a discount because you have already paid; - I give her a can of Fanta, a Coke, a bottle of water to remedy what happened. Posterity will judge..

This time there was a little episode, the plane was late, we were late, but the front desk quickly adjusted the room for us, and gave us a cool summer water while we waited. The people in the hotel are very friendly, especially handsome guys, very human, and also help us carry the suitcase. The hotel’s breakfast was eaten in the back garden, a touch of green, and the mood was good.

Lovely, family-run hotel. Very friendly and warm. Excellent location, bus 85 which is a very short walk from the hotel takes you to central Rome. There are also 2 Metro stations within a reasonable walking distance. The family makes you feel welcome, a very lovely, elderly lady keeps everything very clean and tidy. Things to note, the toilet and shower are not in the room, they are private to you but you need to walk through the communal hall (which you share with the other 2 rooms, the hall isn't big); the room doesn't have a kettle. A small inconvenience for a great location and reasonable price. I would stay there again.

The female receptionists are friendly and helpful. But , maintance is required for the room. I was given a bigger room with balcony on 2 nd floor. But the curtain there did not work. People from outside could see directly into the room. So, I needed to change the room again. Also, internet was not working on 2nd floor. In the end, i was given a room on the ground floor.
