Hotels near Arch of Constantine in Rome

I'm sure that each of us has his own scale of factors to evaluate whether a place is beautiful or ugly but that the added value is the people. In this clean, nice and very comfortable hotel, near the Roma Termini station, it is precisely the people who make a small hotel a point of reference for our trips to Rome. Paola from the reception was, and is, the person who followed us during the booking process and who went out of her way to help us project our photographs on a wall, in a small room set up just for us, a small group of photographers arrived in town for a two day photography course. I would have liked to rate the hotel as 4.5* however our room was at the front of the hotel and even with the windows shut it was very noisy from the large road junction outside, plus there was noise from other residents and tvs in other rooms, maybe some soundproofing needs to be carried out. That having been said the location was excellent, an easily walkable distance to main attractions, plus a metro stop is directly outside the hotel. The area felt safe at night and there some very good restaurants to try which are only minutes away. Should you wish to go shopping then there are plenty of non-designer shops to choose from nearby including a very good department store called COIN. Our room was a good size and had a lovely bathroom. The bed was large and extremely comfortable, the linen was super soft. Cleaning through the hotel was of a high standard. Breakfast was excellent, everything you might want and the most delicious scrambled eggs I have ever had in a hotel. There were salads, pastries, cakes, fresh fruit, yoghurts, different cured meats and cheeses, sausages and bacon and vegetarian options. Top marks for the hard working breakfast staff. A great start to the day. Staff generally were friendly and helpful. At reception were snacks and drinks to welcome you which was a nice gesture. The hotel also has a small restaurant, ideal for lunches or if you are too exhausted to leave the hotel at night. We had pizzas and salads there a couple of times for lunch and they were very good. The reception area is good with couches, they will look after your baggage if you have a late flight. A very enjoyable stay.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was nice, neat and clean and an adequate size, though not spacious. Staff are helpful and friendly and the breakfast is great. The location is also wonderful, located in a square with a fountain and a huge selection of restaurants, cafés, gelaterias, bakeries etc closeby. The only downside was noise- from the lift, and other rooms and an alarm on the last night

I chose this hotel based on many positive reviews from many platforms. And I experienced all of the positive reviews. And for the first time I would recommend hotel to my friends and families/relatives. The two rooms were the best : the view, size and amenities. To my surprise, the minibar provided as complimentary. Breakfast : the best breakfast I ever had after more than 30 years traveling for both leisures/family and business trips in Indonesia, Asia and Europe. On top of the buffet menus, we were offered breakfast that personalised for our needs/tastes. Now, two weeks after we left the hotel, my wife and daughter keep telling me about to comeback again to Rome just because this hotel …. All the staffs were helpful and almost excellent. Keep the good work guys, as this hotel’s experiences were the oasis in many disappointments about Rome. One small note : It was a little bit difficult for me to find this hotel, and taking up two large luggage up to the hotel lobby was a little struggle

I was nervous about travelling alone for the first time, but the staff (Alessio, Flavio, Martina and Bianca) made my trip unforgettable. The team are so funny and friendly. Alessio (the bar manager) provides the most entertaining atmosphere and is a true credit to the hostel. My private room was clean and comfortable with beauty Italian decor. The guests were a mixture of solo travellers and groups (generally 20-40ish) but everybody was made to feel welcome and included. Thank you to Alessio and the team for a phenomenal experience!

This was our second stay at Hotel Paba. The location can’t be beat. It is very near the Cavour metro station and walking distance from all of Ancient Rome. The Monti area is nearby, with lots of restaurants and bars. They have updated since the last time we stayed here, and we stayed in a room on the upper floor they own. The room was super cute with an updated bathroom. The walls are thin- we could hear the people next to us when they were there, I’d definitely recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Also, they do not have 24/7 reception, so it can be difficult to get things you need at times. For example, we had no hot water the first night/morning we were there. We told them about it and it was fixed by the next evening when we showered.

The hotel was great- it's located 10 mins from termini central station (so easy to get there from the airport and no need to walk alot with your luggage), and from piazza della repubblica (so close to another metro station). The location was great because it's walking distance to everthing you want to see (I only took the metro to the vatican- you could also walk there, which I did on the way back when I had more time). There are also good restaurants, gelaterias and shops in the area (as it's located next to via nazionale and the opera house) and they are usually less expensive and crowded than those near famous sites (so I ate there almost every evening). I had a single room which was clean and had everything I needed (comfy bed, safe, hot water, wifi, etc.). The staff was really nice and helpful (they are there 24/7, and you can leave your luggage with them if you need), and the breakfast was good. I would definitely stay there again next time I visit! It looks like a newly renovated hostel. The interior facilities are really clean, and the staff are really friendly. Because it shares an entrance with another large building, you can see a large garden. For only 5 euros, you could eat as much fruit, various breads, coffee, and milk as you wanted!
