After three days, I felt that this hotel, for a new hotel, was generally quite good.
Before arriving, the hotel added me on WeChat and thoughtfully sent me information about the hotel's facilities, activities, transportation to Dong'ao Island, and ferry schedules, making it easy to plan ahead.
My biggest complaint during my stay was the room cleaning. On the first day, the maid cleaned the bathroom and left immediately, even requiring us to remind her that the bed hadn't been made. This was truly a first for us. After she left, we discovered that the table hadn't been cleaned, the teapot hadn't been washed, and even the tea bags hadn't been replaced. The extra bed for our child in the meditation room hadn't been made either. On the second day, I specifically requested that the maid not come back to clean the room. However, when I was washing up before bed, I discovered that the toothbrush, toothpaste, and other items needed to be provided hadn't been provided either... This repeated occurrence was quite surprising and really dampened my mood.
Also, the hotel's toilet wasn't a smart toilet, which wasn't very user-friendly for those who prefer flushing for better health. A waiter explained that it was to conserve water, and that a bathtub wouldn't use more water...
Apart from that, the hotel's breakfast was excellent, and the waiter was very considerate. When we met them the next day, they even showed us to the table of our family, who had arrived earlier.
The hotel has few restaurants. Besides the Sea Salt Restaurant, there's only a bar and a Chinese restaurant. When occupancy is high, the place becomes overwhelmed and packed. The selection isn't very diverse. I tried to order barbecued pork, but was told it was sold out two nights in a row. Remember, we ordered around 6 or 7 pm...
However, the most pleasant thing about this hotel is the staff, as their added value offsets any other negatives. A special thank you to Sean, Vesi, Nora, and Colin. Their attentive and impeccable service was a delight. No one asked for anything, because they were so amazing. I've taken note of your names, and I want to thank you all so much!
