"Hotel is old and due a renovation, yes price and location is good but I was very disappointed with the room, windows facing stairs where people frequently walk, your only options are to have 0 sunlight or have strangers stare in your room. Since there’s no separate bathroom (all in 1 room) there’s not even a secure place to change. Looks a lot better in pictures than reality. But, for 300 yuan honestly it’s okay. Very lovely and helpful staff!"

"If you are looking for a mountain vibe, peaceful, away from city and homey experience, this is the hotel for you! The mountain view is unbeatable and it’s so majestic. We have nothing but compliments about our room which can even house 3pax, having a bathtub and sauna to sooth our muscle after a day out were refreshing for us. Another highlight is how delicious the restaurant food is and we couldn’t resist eating the same dish (香芋扣肉) for 3 meals in a row. I am so glad to have booked one more night with this homestay just so that we can chill around the hotel with a tea ceremony with 毛管家 before heading out for our train ride home. Don’t be deterred by its mountainous location, it is only 5min away from the ZJJ forest park attraction entrance and the whole experience be it hardware or software with the homestay are so worth it! Ended my ZJJ tour on such a high note! Me and my parents (both in 70s) love it so much!"

"The Hotel was very magical, like out of a fairytale. The resort is 15 min away from the entrance to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The front desk was very helpful especially Tim. He speaks good English and helped me book Tianmen mountains and the other front desk also drove me there. The hospitality and breakfast was amazing. There are many foreigners that stay in this hotel aswell. The area is surreal and when it gets dark it also looks amazing."

"Location was super near the Jiangjiajie National Park, it was within walking distance or taxi was only 6 renminbi (or less if you use coupons on your own). Also, it was within walking distance to the stores and restaurant on the main street, yet quiet enough for a good night sleep. Service was superb and their ”butler” service was over and beyond. The sole of a shoe fell and they managed to buy and bring us a brand new sole glue as requested within 30 minutes. The butler's trip itinerary suggestions were also very well planned and detailed that we do not need to hire a tour guide for the whole trip, we can just do it ourselves. The auntie cooks breakfast for you every morning, and different options were available. They have adopted a cat and you can play with it in the lobby if you are lucky enough to see it! Most importantly, room is very warm even in Winter. The only down side was it was a bit far from the city centre (30 min drive) but thats what you get when you want to stay nearer to the mountains, and we were totally fine with that."

"Our stay was mostly for being in Zhangjiajie city and visiting the Tianmen mountain. I choose this hostel because of customer rate on the app, swimming pool and room. I took the largest room at the top floor. It was nice and spacy, but we saw the other rooms and I can tell all looks good. If I have to choose again, I might choose a cheaper one. The pool was suffering of heat and not super clean when we arrived, but the owner understood very fast and changed all the water that was very clean the next day. The attention of the owner to all our needs was very friendly, helpful and nice. And he speaks English. Breakfast is Chinese style, but the cook can adapt and serve you what you desire. The position of the hotel is not central, but in a quiet place and close access to Tianmen mountain. I still think it’s the best option in Zhangjiajie."

"We had the most wonderful experience during our stay, thanks to the incredible help and kindness of Ivy, who works at the reception. She is the only Chinese person we met on our trip who speaks perfect English, and we honestly could not have managed without her. Ivy went above and beyond to help us organize our trip in China — from planning the perfect itinerary for both Zhangjiajie National Park and Tianmen Mountain, to patiently answering every question with warmth and care. Her support was absolutely priceless. When we returned to the hotel soaked and exhausted before our flight, the hotel manager also stepped in to help us dry off and pull ourselves together. They even arranged the best possible vehicle to take us to the airport, completely free of charge. We are beyond grateful. God bless all of them, and especially Ivy, who is truly the sweetest and most helpful person we've met on our journey. Xie Xie from the bottom of our hearts! The hotel itself is amazing with super comfortable rooms and a great location — just a short walk from the South Gate of Zhangjiajie National Park. Highly recommended to anyone visiting this magical place. The dinner is tasty and nicely cooked!"

"Purespace in Zhangjiajie: A Westerner's Oasis Near a Secret Entrance to Heavenly Views As a Western traveler, finding a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the breathtaking Zhangjiajie National Forest Park can be a daunting task. However, Purespace proved to be an absolute gem, offering not only a welcoming and familiar environment but also a strategic location that unlocked a less crowded path to the park's wonders. From the moment I arrived, the family who run Purespace went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay. Their English proficiency was good, and we used automatic translations when communicating complicated points to ensure we understood each other, it was a welcome relief, and they were incredibly helpful in arranging transportation and offering tips for navigating the park. The hotel itself boasts comfortable beds, wi-fi and wall to ceiling windows. The view is outstanding and easily the best view I’ve ever had at hotel. The bathtub in the window is just amazing - you sit in your bath After a long day of hiking in relaxing atmosphere - it was truly a treat. The breakfast offered a decent selection of Chinese options, with noodles available on demand. Delicious home cooked food was available at lunch and dinner too. However, the true standout feature of Purespace is its proximity to a lesser-known gate of the national park. Located just a short and easy walk from the hotel is an entrance that seems to be favored by locals and those in the know. This proved to be an absolute game-changer for accessing the Bailong Elevator early in the morning. While the main entrance was often swarming with 000s of guests, this smaller gate offered a quick and easy entry into the park. I was able to reach the base of the Bailong Elevator well before the peak crowds, allowing for a swift ascent and uninterrupted views of the stunning karst formations. This local tip, saved me valuable time and significantly enhanced my overall experience of the park. Its proximity to the ”secret” gate leading to the Bailong Elevator early is an invaluable asset for those wanting to maximize their time and avoid the ilong queues. I highly recommend Purespace and will stay there again when I go back."

"Really enjoyed our stay at Xman. Xiao liu provided the best service! Our mandarin isn’t great and had no itinerary, and she helped to plan our itinerary to make sure we saw the best of Zhangjiajie in our short 4 days there and even purchased the tickets for us when we checked in. She was always smiling and made tea for us whenever she saw us. Was lucky to have the chance to chat with the boss on one night! He has so many stories to tell and if you love Chinese history, you are in for an invaluable session. In the mornings we started our day with a hearty breakfast. At our preferred time, the driver will drop us at the Zhangjiajie park entrance just 10 min drive away and he will pick us up at the end of the day. Really appreciate this value added service! The room felt homely and was spacious, had the necessary amenities like bedroom slippers and the softest robe ever created! Getting a didi to and from the city centre was also relatively easy. The wood floor was peeling a little probably due to the damp weather but they were doing renovations to the other rooms so it’s probably in a better state now! I only wish the weather was better so we could see the sunrise. Regardless, the view was still so beautiful and I definitely will recommend everyone to stay here."

"We were originally planning to evacuate early and stay at the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, but the accommodation facilities at the Grand Canyon were not mature enough, so we stayed for another night. . . It happened to rain that day, and the environment of the B&B was more pleasant after the rain. There was a kind of spiritual charm of the empty mountain after the rain, and the mist was lingering like a painting. After returning from the Grand Canyon, we stayed in the hotel for another afternoon. The boss also invited us to have afternoon tea and snacks! Personally, I feel that the food in Zhangjiajie is average, but Cili rice noodles are not bad and I recommend everyone to try them (I really had enough of Sanxiaguo in Zhangjiajie, which is more oily). The hotel can also provide meals, which are actually better than those in restaurants outside. They are all purchased and cooked on the same day. Everyone can rest assured to stay here. Finally, I put a few photos of rainy days, which are far less beautiful than the real scenery."

"The hotel was as advertised, it was clean and beautiful. The view was nice, located by a stream. It was conveniently located close to the entrance of the national forest park. There are many restaurants, bakeries and convenience stores located around the hotel so food was not a worry. The owner was very nice and friendly, planned our ZJJ trip for us! We did not have much planning, he tailored our trips for us and booked our tickets for us (cable cars, buses, lift and tram ride). It is also to DiDi in ZJJ which make travelling between places very convenient. It was a very cosy and comfortable stay. ❤️"
