Hotel Schütterhof

We have been skiing in Austria many times, but this was our first trip to Schladming. We are so glad that we chose the Schutterhof for our stay!

The first thing that comes to mind when I reflect on our four-night stay at the Hotel Shutterhof is the warmth of the experience. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home from the very start. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered a stunning view of the mountains. What we enjoyed most was the hotel restaurant. For breakfast, we had an extensive selection, from fresh pastries to hearty options. In the afternoon, the buffet featured a delightful array of soups, pasta, ice cream, and more. For dinner, the diverse menus offered perfectly paired dishes that delighted our taste buds. Additionally, the spa area provided a truly relaxing retreat, complete with saunas and pools, including an infinity pool with breathtaking views. The location was ideal for exploring the area; it was conveniently close to the city, yet surrounded by numerous trails for both bikers and hikers. Lastly, I want to extend my gratitude to everyone at the hotel, as we have never encountered such kind and attentive staff before. The entire experience was unforgettable, and I can't wait to return for another relaxing getaway!

Me and my girlfriend decided to spend couple of days (and nights) in this nice Schladming area of Austrian Alps. We choosed hotel Schütterhof and despite the fact that it is not the cheapest possible stay there in Schladming (not even close) we were very happy with the value we got for our money in this hotel. The room - we choosed superior room for 2, but as we arrived we found out that we were given an upgrade to much bigger room for 3 with terrace. Room was modern, new looking and very clean and nice, beds were solid to sleep and overally it was big room for 3 people, so for 2 it was a lot of space. The view from this room was maybe not that great, but still I would say 7/10. The welness/spa area - undoubtedly highlight of this hotel and the reason to pay a bit extra money compared to other hotels. You can choose from one extra big outside pool with amazing view on Dachstein mountains and Schladming village/city. Then there are other indoor and outdoor pools ( 2 smaller outside pools, one of them cold to refresh after sauna, other one very hot to relax). Saunas are amazing as well, again there is space for everyone (there are different types even) and view on the mountains is top experience. Big like for opening hours 6:30 morning to 22:00 in the evening is best opening hours I ever heard of ! Staff and food - staff is overally really friendly and helpful, they can speak german of course but very solid english as well. Food is another good experience, you can enjoy great breakfast, afternoon buffet and dinner as well. Food was always fresh and tasty. Overally I would rate this hotel 9 or 9,5 out of 10. Maybe only downside is the higher price but you get great service and beatiful views and nature around you for your money so if you want active holiday with a bit of spa in the evening or just to relax stole day it is a great choice in this area with this budget.

Beautiful up-to-date hotel. The view from the fitness centre was stunning and the equipment was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view from the deck. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the cuisine was delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfectly managed hotel with attention to every detail so as to offer a fantastic winter vacation: convenience ski-in out location, panoramic scenery incl from from the restaurant and from the infinity pool, fully - equipped spa areas, cozy atmosphere, rich and tasty buffet all day long (at the right times), personal attitude from the members of Schutter family - chatting with all the guests at dinner. And lastly - tailored sauna sessions with a spa master (Hans was great🙃). We had a great time here and would gladly come back!

We had a very relaxing 6 night stay in a Juniorsuite on the 5th floor, facing the sunny side. The suite was modern, spacious and impeccably clean. Lovely bathroom with walk in shower and lots of hooks and storage facilities, which we have missed in so many other hotels previously. The big bed was firm but comfortable, it was blissfully quiet at night so we slept very well. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was good, the breakfast buffet was very good and we thoroughly enjoyed, and made good use of the orange juicer and the fruit/veg juicer. You can't beat a freshly squeezed juice at breakfast. But the best for last and definitely worthy of the full TA rating, the gorgeous 25 m heated infinity pool, the Panorama Saunas and the beautiful rest/relaxation areas. We also made use of the well equipped gym(with a panoramic view), the guided hikes and the complimentary E- Mountain bike hire. Whether you want to be active or relax, you definitely can't go wrong here, we will hopefully be back soon.
