Terrible place the rooms were filthy, shower's were filthy No cups or glasses for drinking water . Most of my friends were bitten by bugs or fleas. Overall I wouldn't stay there again or recommend the place to anyone look elsewhere for somewhere else to stay !!!!

Horrible stay, very old and nasty rooms and dirty shower. The food was also very bad and pricy. I would not recommend this at all unless you are looking for a horror movie experience (hair in the shower, stains, dirty…). Never again!

We stayed here for New Year’s Eve with friends. Incredibly bad food (both apero, dinner and breakfast), horrendous accommodation (feels like you’re in a 90’ horror movie or) and overpriced. Stay away.

Very friendly and helpful reception. Reception and dining area shows its real history. Very centrally located at the station. Bedrooms are tired. No soap in shower. Walls very outdated and in need of renovation. Microwave only notices to a limited extent. Kitchenette available, but without equipment. Asking price minus €10 would be more acceptable.

Positive: the friendly manager. Negative: apparently I had unknowingly booked a budget room for 75 euros per night! This one was unbelievably dirty. I am 65 years old and have visited many hotels, but I had never experienced this before. The shower was plastic, no shower gel, shampoo, nothing. There were two (bad) beds in the much too small room. The rickety furniture could not yet be called modern even at the time of the "Lords of Zichem". The wallpaper was dirty and completely yellowed. The breakfast was basic. Sorry Mr. Ignace, despite all your kindness, you won't see me again.

De Bonte Os is a two-star hotel, and it is indicated as such. So don't expect the Ritz-Carlton, but a cozy family hotel where owner Ignace is always ready to serve you and give you the necessary tips for your visit to the city. We slept in room 31, which is more of a small apartment with a living room full of old sports photos and two rooms, and everything was neat and spacious. The breakfast was extensive and fresh, and the building itself an interesting mixed bag, including a glass exterior elevator that takes you to the roof for a beautiful view. Due to its location close to the station and the Kop van de Vaart, it is also an excellent base for a visit to the city center. Would definitely stay here again.
