Terrible place the rooms were filthy, shower's were filthy No cups or glasses for drinking water . Most of my friends were bitten by bugs or fleas. Overall I wouldn't stay there again or recommend the place to anyone look elsewhere for somewhere else to stay !!!!

Horrible stay, very old and nasty rooms and dirty shower. The food was also very bad and pricy. I would not recommend this at all unless you are looking for a horror movie experience (hair in the shower, stains, dirty…). Never again!

We stayed here for New Year’s Eve with friends. Incredibly bad food (both apero, dinner and breakfast), horrendous accommodation (feels like you’re in a 90’ horror movie or) and overpriced. Stay away.

Very friendly and helpful reception. Reception and dining area shows its real history. Very centrally located at the station. Bedrooms are tired. No soap in shower. Walls very outdated and in need of renovation. Microwave only notices to a limited extent. Kitchenette available, but without equipment. Asking price minus €10 would be more acceptable.

Positive: the friendly manager. Negative: apparently I had unknowingly booked a budget room for 75 euros per night! This one was unbelievably dirty. I am 65 years old and have visited many hotels, but I had never experienced this before. The shower was plastic, no shower gel, shampoo, nothing. There were two (bad) beds in the much too small room. The rickety furniture could not yet be called modern even at the time of the "Lords of Zichem". The wallpaper was dirty and completely yellowed. The breakfast was basic. Sorry Mr. Ignace, despite all your kindness, you won't see me again.

Mijn verblijf in De Bonte Os Hotel & Tower was fantastisch! De sfeer is een perfecte mix van nostalgie en gezelligheid. De kamers zijn ruim, schoon en hebben een warme, klassieke uitstraling. Het bed lag heerlijk en de torenkamers bieden een prachtig uitzicht over Roeselare. De eigenaar, Ignace Defever, zorgt voor een huiselijke en gastvrije sfeer. Daarnaast is het hotel bijna volledig klimaatneutraal, wat een mooie extra is. Dit is geen standaard hotel, maar een plek met karakter en geschiedenis. Absoluut een aanrader!

Fantastisch verblijf in De Bonte Os Hotel & Tower! De kamer was ruim, kraaknet en comfortabel met een heerlijk bed. Alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd, van het frisse bedlinnen tot de nette badkamer. Een uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitverhouding en een aanrader voor wie in Roeselare overnacht!

De Bonte Os is een tweesterrenhotel, en dat wordt ook zo aangegeven. Verwacht dus niet het Ritz-Carlton maar wel een gezellig familiaal hotel waarin eigenaar Ignace altijd klaarstaat om je op je wenken te bedienen en je de nodige tips voor je bezoek aan de stad mee te geven. Wij sliepen in kamer 31, wat meer een soort appartementje met een leefruimte vol oude sportfoto's en twee kamers is, en alles was netjes en ruim. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en vers, en het gebouw zelf een interessant allegaartje, inclusief glazen buitenlift waarmee je tot op het dak kan geraken voor een mooi uitzicht. Door de ligging vlakbij het station en de Kop van de Vaart, is het ook een prima uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan het stadscentrum. Zou hier zeker nog eens verblijven.
