Very nice frontbeach hotel. It has an outdoor pool and direct access to the beach. Its not typical "party" hotel so you can really chill and have a rest. Nice views from the room to the beach. All was clean and tidy, the only contra the facilities are a old.

Don’t intend on coming back. Got given the wrong room at the beginning when we paid for a premium, was sorted out eventually but there was dried mucus rubbed up wall next to the bed. Only 1 bar open instead of 3 they claimed to have. All inclusive only includes a set list of cocktails, and minimal snack list(ready salted crisps in a paper cup) and miniature ice creams. The food was mediocre at best. The same 10 songs played outside by the pool on repeat all day which was extremely annoying. All inclusive people not treated equally.

Hotel is not set up for tourists, no trips or buses running.. no shops near by that was open., a ten minute walk on the beach front to a handful of bars and shops , no English guests and mostly Spanish..Reception ordered us a taxi daily to callafel, which is 15 euros one way and 10 minutes away, beautiful beach there and lots of shops and bars. One hour on the train will take you to Barcelona which was 15 euros return each , 5 mins in a taxi to the train station. It was very busy in Barcelona and noisy with heavy traffic and packed with tourists. The train station is underground so remember how to get back....the hotel food is good, lots of fresh fish being cooked and meats, fresh fruit and cakes..did not see any all inclusive snacks in the day time, but maybe you had to ask. Rooms was comfortable and seaview from the balcony. Beds comfortable with soft bedding. Would not return, only because we prefer to be surrounded by shops and a 10 am check out is too early when you have a night flight, we kept asking to pay for a late check out but they will not tell you until 9am on check out day, which is madness when you still have to get packed and ready to leave by 10am incase it's a no . We felt like they should know who is arriving ahead so checked out at 10am . All inclusive runs out at midday on departure day. Nice hotel but nothing to do.

This was our third time staying at the hotel Gran Europe, and our third review. Previously stayed in 2014 and 2016. The hotel is under different ownership/management since then. We always loved this relatively small hotel which has a great location on the promenade and seafront. We had two rooms this time, as I joined my wife and children halfway through their three week stay and this gave us more room and comfort than squeezing into one room. Saying that they rooms are a good size with Two large double beds. Rooms are clean and refurbished with good size modern bathroom and a hallway that has plenty of storage. A Good feature is that the halway has both the door to the access corridor and a door to the bedroom, which means the bedroom is shielded from corridor noise at night when both doors are closed. Corridors also are carpeted so we heard no noise at all of the usual footsteps or suitcases being wheeled along at all times of day/night. This was a bonus for us as we are light sleepers. Overall the hotel though is a quiet and peaceful space. The restaurant and bar are excellent with good food and drink available. Plenty of choice and no issues with flies or hygiene. The staff in restaurant and bar are wonderful as are all hotel staff, including reception and cleaning staff. Looking back on our previous review from 2016 we can say our few negative experiences have all been eliminated and we have no faults this time. There were a few smokers around but far less than we saw in 2016. The hotel is dog friendly and it was no problem for us to see dogs being walked around, in corridors and reception but dogs were not present by the pool or allowed in the bar and restaurant. Our children are teens now so didn’t partake in mini disco or kids club, but can say we noticed these to be much improved since 2016. The beach is always fabulous, can’t fault it. Highly recommend this hotel, but not for party animals as it is quiet and peaceful and a lot of elder people stay here. One thing to note. Airport Taxi transfers are expensive here. £100euro or more each way. I discovered that the Uber app will give you public transport options for bus/train if you arrive at a suitable time. My flight landed at 6pm and I then used a bus and train from Barcelona airport and walked down to the hotel from the station, took about 2 hours and cost me less than 8 euro. Was at hotel for dinner. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Excellent.

To say this hotel was different for us is spot on because although it was miles from any town it was a little gem. A very long way from an airport also was made easier by getting a private taxi. Although this was expensive, £107 it only took 30 minutes to cover nearly 50 kilometres. The hotel itself was smaller than expected but there were always sunbeds available and a very happy staff. In fact that was evident everywhere in the hotel. They seem to enjoy what they were doing which in our opinion isn't always the case. The only down side for us we discovered was we were the only British guests of over 200 in the hotel. Mainly Spanish & German guests but it gave us the opportunity to test our Spanish which was needed because waiting on staff expected you to order in their language we thought. The entertainment was of course Spanish but it was still enjoyable to us. All in all this hotel was smaller than we are used to but being on the beach front gave the opportunity to go for walks in between the sunny day's. We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay and recommend this hotel to anyone.

We reserved for 3..when we arrive we got a room # 304 for 2 with a terrace view on another terrace?  Side sea view? We had to ask for an other room #104. - Front office must be more careful. Your SAFE billing 2.50 euro per day is not right as we use the same room key to open the safe.  No special code is needed as mentioned by FO staff ...just a poor and cheap Management decision to extra charge guests for a safe. Mattress a bit too hard..parking limited nearby hotel.. noisy at night with dog barking  or children in corridor.  Good breakfast, location OK with large restaurant buffet style..entertainment clubs hôtel style..Public beach no facilities...pool for kids.

Horrible experience. I didnt recommended. Administration dont have competition be a administrator. Ordered 3 bed and in the room only 2 bed. So we need to sleep in 2 bed, 3 person. Sleep on the ground and pay for that room. Food- į dont recommended, poor option. Yes, near the sea, excellence. But thats it. One star and nothing more.

I rented two units for two days each. At arrival they said they were upgrading one of the units because they had overbooked but I needed to pay extra because it was a newer unit… are you talking seriously? This was my question… so the poor attitude was shown from 1st interaction. We went to the PortAventura park (which is awesome by the way) and spent the entire da there. We were back around midnight tired and in need of a hot shower because it was very cold evening in the park… jumped in the shower, started shampooing immediately (usually do that to save water) realizing after some minutes that there is no hot water… call to my family in the other unit, and they have no hot water either… I finished my shower and went to the reception. The reception was attended by a man, who was dirty and sweaty, was totally unengaged and just told me, the boiler has been broken since early this morning… why the heck you’re not telling the guests that? In the morning I spoke to the reception and told me the problem was being solved around 9-10 am… but since the checkout was at 10 we needed to rush from breakfast to showering… I later complain about this and wanted compensation, the manager, who was a very rude man, said no I don’t care because that’s not true, we had a minor issue with the boiler and affected some rooms but this was fixed before 11 pm… how the heck you can said that if I was still inside the park at 11 pm when it closed??? In addition something that was very shocking from me is that they have a bunch of Spanish lazy and unengaged personal doing nothing than ordering and treating badly the non-Spanish personal in the breakfast room… So it seems there is a culture of rudeness and impoliteness of people working there. So conclusion: nice place to stay if you like cold showers and lack empathy… so I don’t think it’ll a “next time stay” here for me or anyone in my family!

Great hotel, excellent price quality. Some rooms are a bit dated but tidy and good beds with good mattresses. Breakfast was great and dinner was just okay. Nice swimming pool. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back here.
