Not sure what this place is trying to be in that, on approach, it looks like a 1970’s building but as you walk in, it turns all ‘wooden ‘! It’s actually really nice with alternative furnishings and attractive decor with a lovely open fireplace in the bar/restaurant area. The staff are friendly and helpful (and patient!) and the whole place feels warm and welcoming. There is an outdoor swimming pool, which isn’t heated, and I believe there was a sauna too. Unfortunately, this hotel still offers single rooms and when I say single rooms, I mean SINGLE rooms....mine was tiny! I can’t remember the last time I slept (or tried to) in a single bed - it was a whole new learning experience! The door to the tiny bathroom opened outwards and you had to manoeuvre yourself carefully to make sure it didn’t trap you against the wall and, it wouldn’t stay open so I had to wedge it open because the bathroom itself was so hot. Great location with a 10-15 min walk to the beach. Anyhow, pleasant enough, small rooms but nice touches. I attach a photo of my favourite feature😊

We had a fabulous stay. The hotel far exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean and comfortable, we had two nights of great sleep. The bar/restaurant was lovely, we sat by the fire for drinks and enjoyed delicious dinner. The team were fantastic and looked after us throughout our stay. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend BadHotel Rockanje.

If youre looking for a Canadian rockies themed hotel by the sea in the Netherlands, then this is the place for you 🤣. Room was not huge but comfortable. Bed was way too soft for my liking. Shower decent. Bathroom pretty small. All seemed clean. 10 minutes walk to beach. Large car park.

We were very please by the hotel. The room was renovated , a bit small, but still OK for the 3 days we stayed. Employees were very kind. Location is great-10min from beach. The food in restorourant was very tasty. Negativ: Service in restourant was a bit slow Breakfast is not so rich,but still tasty For sure we will come back again!

Last minute booking here. Lots of nice features here and unusual decor etc. Very niche you might say. Inviting bar area, lovely outdoor pool and great surroundings. Room was quirky. A tad musty, but decent enough with nice balcony area to sit and relax. No available iron in room or even to take to the room, but the receptionists was amazing and offered to iron a short for me in the housekeeping room with their industrial (non portable) iron👍🏻 Breakfast was very good. Dog friendly hotel with character. Would return!

Absolute recommendation - especially with a dog! The super friendly staff always has a treat in their pocket for our puppy and they really love animals! The hotel itself is very stylish, beautiful, warm ambience. And the food is a dream: there is no 0815 here, but delicious creative cuisine! We will be back

Vanavond om 18.00 uur geserveerd. Voorgerecht ging goed maar hoofdgerecht totaal niet. Na verloop van 1,5 uur kregen we te horen vanwege de drukte de koks nu bezig waren met ons hoofdgerecht. Na 2 uur werd er verteld dat ze ons vergeten waren en dat de keuken er gelijk aan ging beginnen. Er werd een drankje van het huis aangeboden maar door de verstreken tijd en de irritatie was onze eetlust en gezelligheid inmiddels wel verdwenen. Wij zijn dan ook direct weggegaan. Wij zullen hier dan ook nooit meer terugkomen……..

Dit is een beoordeling over het restaurant : tijdens de kerst. Eerste kerstdag hebben we hier gegeten zonder te overnachten. Het hotelgedeelte was ons al bekend, want lang geleden hebben we hier twee keer een huwelijksjubileum gevierd met overnachting, en dat was toen uitstekend verzorgd. Dit jaar kozen we ervoor om hier op eerste kerstdag te dineren, omdat het vijfgangenmenu ons inhoudelijk erg aansprak. Ontvangst We werden hartelijk en warm welkom geheten door het vriendelijke personeel. Het restaurant was sfeervol in kerstsfeer ingericht, subtiel en niet overdreven. Precies goed. De vijf gangen werden in een rustig tempo uitgeserveerd. De bediening vroeg steeds of we even wilden wachten of dat het volgende gerecht geserveerd kon worden. Dit vond ik persoonlijk heel attent, omdat er zelden zoveel rekening wordt gehouden met de wensen van de gasten. Het eten was van uitstekende kwaliteit, met porties die meer dan voldoende waren. Naast de drankjes werd er (zonder dat we erom hoefden te vragen) een karaf water op tafel gezet, wat we erg konden waarderen. De avond werd begeleid door een zangeres die een gevarieerd repertoire aan liedjes bracht, sfeervol met een vleugje pop. Het geluid stond helaas wel wat hard, waarschijnlijk omdat we wat te dicht bij de luidsprekers zaten. Voor drie personen waren we ongeveer €250 kwijt. Dit was inclusief zes glazen wijn, koffie met een likeurtje en een gewone koffie + fooitje. Prijs kwaliteit was dik in orde. Al met al hebben we een heerlijke avond gehad.
