Stayed in July 2025 as a stop over. Booked it months before so probably why it was so cheap (£163 for two nights BnB). I've never had a breakfast at a Travelodge before and was pleasantly suprised at it's quality - nice one. The breakfast is good even though the atmosphere in the restaurant is a bit 'school canteen'. The hotel has a great location - a short walk to the High Street, Cathedral and Castle. Plenty of places to grab something to eat or drink everywhere. There's a Co-Op store just opposite the hotel as well which is useful. Also, quite a nice walk down to the Medway along the river. There is a car park, which is on a first come first served basis and you have to register your car obviously as it's run by another company. If it's full however (as it was for my first night), there's a massive multi story just down the road - 2 minute walk. It's pricy, but secure. Top tip - if you're staying 2 nights or more - just move your car into the hotel car park when everyone is leaving the next morning. I'd stay there again. Great value for money.

Would have rated 0 if I could. Turned up to check in on Sat 5th and was told my room had a leak, therefore they needed to move me to the nearest hotel a 30min drive away. Not ideal at 10pm, now I understand these things happen but surely this would have been known at 1.30pm when I tried to check in. But was told check in wasn’t until 3pm. Poor service all round. As I needed remain in Rochester I declined the room in the other hotel and waiting to hear back from Customer Service regarding a refund. A week later, I’ve still not heard anything from their team, and when I call I get hung up on! No customer service number I am being told, so hoping this gets seen by someone. Terrible experience, would never stay at a travelodge again. Sort yourselves out guys. Had to pay £130 too for a family room, good job they weren’t with me!

Rooms excellent as always. Amjit on reception was really helpful. Lucy bought my food out in good time. Both were friendly and approachable.

Excellent stay at Rochester Travelodge- a fine example of this chain. Great Staff-nice rooms and good breakfast make this centrally located Hotel offering an excellent choice for all.

While this is one of the few chain hotels in the area, staying here was ultimately quite uncomfortable. The rooms and common areas are not well-maintained, there was no hairdryer in the room, and the temperature was unbearable—the AC unit seemed to be more decorative than functional, working briefly before shutting off. I understand this is a budget hotel, but this experience was a new low.

The hotel wasnt the worst but certainly isn't the best, some staff were not very inviting. The manager who's name i think was tom , made me and my wife very uncomfortable and he stunk of alcohol which was very concerning, the ladies that checked us in were lovely I think they were called caitlinne and chrissy not too sure but where amazing when we arrived late , helped us with the confusion of checking in as the booking was in the wife's name, but they were amazing , also would recommend eating elsewhere as the food unfortunately tasted like microwaved mush

Despite being next to the railway staation, we had no noise disturbance at this hotel in our second floor room. The window could not be opened anyway. Our room was very clean and functional, rather than comfortable. The bathroom was cramped with no air fan, which could be inconvenient. Air conditioning was intermittent and of limited value.Car parking is on a first come, first served basis, but we were able to find free overnight street parking just outside the hotel grounds. Recommended for short stays.

Friendly professional staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. I arrived five hours early and soaked to the skin. Once I was changed into something dry the staff put my wet clothes behind their counter and provided me with a glass of water. Small courtesys such as that made me feel welcome. Room was clean and spacious.

Im not really a big fan of travelodge, im more of a premier inn person but this place is one of the worst i have been to. But i do like the rooms, they are clean, they have comfy beds and delicious food. One incident was when i had an arguement with the person running the restaurant, she was ratty at me because i went to the restaurant earlier than usual. I told her to calm down and thats when she snapped and started yelling at me saying “Dont you tell me what to do!” And “Dont tell me to chill!”, this is disgusting and unprofessional behaviour. I told travelodge support about this and they just gave me a free breakfast and the did nothing about the aggressive staff member at all!
