My wife and I stay at this location in Rochester when we go to visit family (about 2-3 times a year). Our stays have always been exceptional, even during the Covid pandemic, during which time Covid restrictions were explained up front at check-in. There are a few employees that recognize us, and spend a few minutes talking with us. Associates at the front desk are always accessible, and address any concerns that we might have, even if it’s just telling them that the coffee urn in the lounge is empty. I’ve noticed that everyone, including maid service staff and maintenance workers always seem to be in a good mood, and interactions among associates is always pleasant. Rooms are clean and comfortably arranged. The pool and exercise room are clean and an adequate size. Morning breakfast is always stocked, with a selection that would satisfy most diets. I have no negative comments whatsoever about this location.

we normally stay here when in the area for work as it is an excellent location and near the interstates. the airport is about 6 miles away so not truly an airport hotel but close enough that is is not to far a stretch. the rooms are updated and clean. the hotel is quiet and the staff are excellent from the front desk to the lounge to the housekeepers. i highly recommend this Marriott if in the area.

Rochester's cost-effective hotel. Very new and clean, the room is big enough, there is an oven to get something to eat. It is very close to the high-speed entrance and it is very convenient to drive out.

After being unhappy at another chain location, I switched from my usual brand and joined Radisson Rewards for this booking, with a great rate. Arrived here from ROCHESTER International Airport by LYFT ride, not knowing how long I would be staying, or what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised. Located in a nice area, on busy Route 31, Monroe Ave , East of the city, but still close to all major attractions, like GeorgeEastman House, Memorial Art Gallery, Highland Park, Rochester Museum and Science Center, by car, also on city bus routes. My comfy accessible room is roomy and restful, with a King bed and roll-in shower, many safety bars in bathroom. There is a window unit for climate control , Microwave and fridge in my room, and a 40 inch flat screen TV that has a sharp picture with premium channels. Room and lobby WIFI works well., except with my Apple phone. Cozy family reading area with adult and children's books and a single computer/printer business center in lobby. I was happy to find a small coin operated laundromat and a tiny gym, with two machines. Amenities include a very good hot and cold breakfast served in lobby, with 24/7 refreshment and coffee/tea bar. Spunkmeyer cookies at desk, a small convenience store for essentials, including frozen entrees. Smoke free premises, however there is an outside seating area, with wooden Adirondack chairs and a fire pit for smokers. Four Electric car charging stations make this a great location for modern savvy travelers who care about the environment. Coffee-Tea stations in room and lobby were well stocked. The diverse cheerful and helpful staff keep all common areas very clean; all of them are very helpful and accommodating . I enjoyed conversing with International guest clientele in several languages, including Japanese tourists. With rewards member rates, its a great deal and price point. Ethnic restaurants and shopping nearby, including Pittsford Plaza and Eastview Mall . I recommend this hotel to all traveler friends in this area, and beyond, including my 50,000. travel chat buddies on Facebook, Yelp, and TripAdvisor, without hesitation. Note : BOOK well in advance; it's a popular spot. They are sold out for this weekend, and the entire LPGA tour coming up soon,

We entered the building and there was a gentleman at the front desk area on the phone and a couple of ladies at the breakfast area chatting. We waited a couple of minutes for the guy to get off the phone, when one of the ladies walked up and asked how she couple help us. We had no indication that she worked there when we walked in. The room was on the small side, dated and the furniture in it was worn. The table in the room we were given was on its last legs. The beds and fridge were fine though. There was a microwave that we didn't use. There was also a Keurig and 4 coffee/tea pods. The bathroom was subpar. The tub was dinged up. There was a rubber mat in the tub that partially lifted when you used the tub. Not sure if it was a sticker or a rubber mat and I didn't dare to lift it up to check. Surprisingly, all the products in the bathroom were Dove and not the normal HIE stuff. The pool was closed. Breakfast was fine, 2 types of eggs and meats to choose from as well as breads, fruits, cereals. The pancake machine was broken.

GGuest UserThe Hilton Garden Inn is located within the Rochester University campus and only 5 minutes away from the wonderful and historic Mount Hope Cemetery. The hotel has a nicely decorated and welcoming lobby, with a restaurant on site that serves breakfast in the morning (my visit included the breakfast plan since I do not like going to look for breakfast in the morning). There were two comfortable double beds and a nice large bathroom in the room. Bed Linen and towels were clean and fluffy. The breakfast off the menu was good. I did not use the buffet but it did not appear to have a large variety. The hotel is a good jump off point to explore the Erie Canal, the fall colours of the Finger Lake District or just to walk along the Genesee River waterfront trail (which is lovely for walking and riding). So now for my issue with the housekeeping policy (not the housekeepers I would like to add). And yes, I am going to get political here! We were told upon arrival that because of Covid the rooms would be cleaned on the fifth day of stay or if we request it by calling before 8am the day we wanted to have the room cleaned. OK, policy understood! Some people can go for days without needing the room cleaned, I am not one of those people. One of the things I like most about staying in hotels is having daily housekeeping and arriving back in the room with the bed made and fresh towels if I leave them in the bath tub (which I do not do everyday). So twice we called, before 8 am to make the appointment. The phone rang for a long time, eventually we spoke to the front desk and the person took the room number and confirmed the request. Twice the room housekeepers never came and the room was never cleaned. What the hotel and the Hilton chain, as a whole, will not freely admit is that they have turned housekeeping into a ”gig” economy. The housekeepers are suppose to wait each day for a call. If they get a call, they work, if they not, no work. No work, no pay. So, to the surprise of no one, those mostly women of color were smart enough to get a regular and better paying job else, with guaranteed hours. That has left a smaller pool of available housekeepers. The hotel chain is making excessive profits on the backs of the lowest paying people in the hotel business. In addition, they do not tell you when you book that the room rate does not include housekeeping (so ask before booking), they do not amend the rates because they no longer clean the rooms. Same rates less service! There is simply something wrong with that business model that I cannot move on from as a traveler. In the future, I will be vetting the house keeping policy for all hotels before book.

GGuest UserWe always stay at Staybridge Suites when visiting Rochester and have always enjoyed it because of it’s location on the river. If you have a river view room there’s a great view. The room is very large with a good little kitchen (which we never used) and a totally separate bedroom with a very comfortable bed. BUT a word of caution: Right now the hotel is undergoing some kind of renovation on the 3rd floor. i kept answering our door but the sound turned out to be construction on the floor below. The constant use of the elevator by the construction people made for long waits for the elevator so we had to use the stairs. By fair the worst trend is that there is NO room cleaning service on the weekends, so if you come on a Friday night you can expect your room to look kind of dreary through Sunday. I don’t care for this trend at all. They don’t even change the towels. Ugh. The TV is very hard to work and we had to call the desk twice as we were settling in—once because there were NO hangers and once because there was no hairdryer. So, if you want a hotel that’s up and running, this is not a particularly good time to stay at the Staybridge. There are no extra amenities here such as a magnifying mirror etc.

GGuest UserWhen I checked in at midnight and entered the room, I was surprised . There is no refrigerator in the room (there is space in the refrigerator, but when you open the door, it is empty inside), and the safety box does not work. There was no hair dryer . Even if I went to the front desk and complained, I couldn't respond because it was midnight . After all, I spent my time without a hair dryer after the shower . Furthermore, One of the bedside lamps was that the light bulb was not on in the first place and the desk light was broken . The next morning, when I complained at the front desk again, I brought a refrigerator and hair dryer that day. The safety box was replaced . and other lights were fixed, but it's unclear why I rented the room in that state . For the time being, the engineer who came to install the refrigerator apologized . In addition, Housekeeping is also 3 1 times for nights . It was about towel exchange and no cleaning . The corridor was also garbage and debris. .2 I don't want to stay again .

GGuest UserVery speechless, usually less than 100 knives in the hotel, encountered the price of the American Golf final 160. I have lived in Quality inn before and I feel okay. I didn't expect the sheets and quilts in my room to have yellow stains. Then I will take a bath for one night without undressing and the next day. Unfortunately, the bathtub did not leave hot water for 10 minutes. Good wash basin wash face out. Then spit, go out and wait for Uber. The driver clicked the navigation and turned around 2 times and didn't find the hotel. Finally, the customer came to pick it up. He said that the navigation led to the back of the hotel. Fortunately, he found me with wisdom. Finally, it is worth mentioning that the front desk service is good, I saved my luggage, and I care that my Uber did not receive the cloud.

GGuest UserI have stayed in several hotels in Henrietta over the past few months, son is a student out there. I am not a ”Everything has to be perfect” type of guy, but for the price, I would like certain things. When I checked in, they didn't have the person in front of me in their computer, so took quite a while to get him checked in. When I got there I asked if I could stay in a single. I was not sure if my son would be staying there or not, so I said I wanted a double (what I had reserved). The front desk person apparently was not told what rooms were clean, so she left, had to go upstairs somewhere to get a housekeeping list. By the time I got checked in there were 5 others behind me waiting to check in. I did get a choice of what floor I wanted. I choose the second floor. First thing I noticed was the smell. It is a ”non-smoking” hotel but apparently was not enforced. In fact, a previous person staying in my room had fixed a plastic bag over the smoke detector to keep it from going off. I didn't want to try to balance on the chair to try to take it off, so trusted the heat detector in the room to alert me if there was a fire. I was not going to be cooking in the room. Since there was no coffee maker, I wanted to heat up some water in the microwave for tea, I looked through the cabinets for mug, a pot, anything to use in the microwave or on the stove, there is nothing in the room. I stopped by the desk and asked for something to heat water in a microwave, like a mug. I was given a plastic cup, like the ones in the bathroom, not microwave safe. If you want to use the microwave or stove, bring your own dishes I guess, it says you can request dishes/ pots at the front desk, but didn't work for me. After I did get past the smoke smell (and opened up the window to let some fresh air in, they opened about 3 inches), I noticed the bed was small. I have a queen bed at home, this was not a queen. I also have a full, and pretty sure this was smaller than a full. Two people could fit, but would not be comfortable, unless you really, really wanted to cuddle together. I went out for a hockey game, got back about 10:30. From then until about 1:30 it sounded like someone above me was moving beds around. I couldn't tell exactly what time because the alarm clock display was broken. I am used to hotel room noise, not expecting quiet, this was really, really loud. I left the TV on to try to drown out some of the banging. I couldn't really watch it because it is a smaller 19 inch (about), set down on a lower table, so laying on the bed, you couldn't really see it, but I could at least listen. The light from the TV did help me to get across the room, there was only one plug by the bed (which you had to move the bed to get to), so if you wanted the alarm clock and a cell phone, you could not use the light. I was awake early, and got a shower. Got about 3 hours of sleep. Heard about the grab and go breakfast, so at least I could get a cup
