We booked this adorable boutique hotel in Roccaraso with a great last minute rate. The location was incredible, every single staff member was welcoming and helpful, and our dinner at the restaurant was among the best in the two weeks we spent in the Abruzzo region. The hotel is incredibly charming. The entire interior is carved out of wood. The room was gorgeous and the queen bed was super cozy. There was a 4-piece bathroom with the largest shower of anywhere we stayed in Italy. This is a family run hotel and they were amazingly helpful in making arrangements to use bikes from a local shop and ride to a nearby thermal spa. Having a home in a high altitude environment (above 2500m) we were fine with the bikes provided for free, but they can also arrange ebikes. Dinner at the hotel was perfect from start to finish and breakfast the next morning was equally delicious with a gorgeous buffet. They arranged to have us taken back to the bus station the next morning free of charge and only wish we had been able to stay for a few more days. We're planning to return to Roccaraso again, both for skiing and for summer activities like ebiking and hiking and would definitely stay here again.

Tutto perfetto, pulizia disponibilità, cura del ospite, cura dei dettagli, gentilezza del personale, qualità e varietà della colazione. Abbiamo subito trovato persone disponibili e sempre con il sorriso. Appena entrati si intuisce la qualità della struttura, con attenzione ai minimi particolari, curati quasi maniacalmente. La colazione è da 10 stelle, con prodotti cucinati con cura e maestria. Le camere super pulite e sistemate. Grazie della fantastica esperienza che ci avete fatto vivere. Ci rivedremo presto.

La location è molto bella sia all'esterno decorata con lucine che all'interno arredato in pieno stile di montagna con mobili di legno. Ho ordinato due antipasti: uovo morbido con fonduta di formaggio San Gregoriano e scaglie di tartufo fresco (buono anche se il formaggio non si sentiva molto) e vitello tonnato (molto buono, anche se per la porzione mon lo considererei un antipasto, ma più un secondo piatto). Prima del dessert ci è stato offerto un pre-dessert, ovvero un dolce con gelato alla nocciola e yuzu e brownie al cioccolato. Come dessert ho scelto un tiramisù - molto buona la crema al mascarpone. Il personale è stato gentile nonostante aver sbagliato il numero dei coperti e averci fatto attendere fuori 10 minuti. I prezzi sono elevati, quindi aspettatevi di spendere tanto, ma la qualità degli ingredienti è altrettanto elevata.

Siamo stati nella struttura per un weekend in famiglia… meraviglioso! Dal parcheggio, all’accogliente decorazione lignea degli ambienti, al personale gentilissimo e super disponibile fino alla ricchissima e gustosissima colazione… tutto bellissimo. Un complimento speciale per il gusto con cui è curato ogni dettaglio dell’arredamento e soprattutto per il personale, gentile, accomodante e disponibile per qualsiasi evenienza.

Un plauso a tutto lo staff “Ortensie”. Entri in un locale ed il personale di sala, accogliente, cortese e competente, ti fá sentire subito a tuo agio. Plauso particolare al personale di cucina….. Mamma mia che spettacolo. In due serate abbiamo assaggiato tuttto il menù e posso usare un solo aggettivo: SUPERLATIVO! Ottima carta dei vini e ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Complimenti a tutti. Semmai dovessimo ritornare a Roccaraso non mancherà la sosta alle “Ortensie”.

Abbiamo soggiornato domenica e lunedi e che dire..uno dei più belli in assoluto di roccaraso,stanze molto belle, e spumante in omaggio per gli ospiti, e non vi dico la colazione..e che colazione: veramente tutto buono Complimenti a tutti! Da ritornarci!! Sperando con un pò più di neve....
