Villa Miravalle

Highly recommend this hotel - and it's lovely restaurant Villetta Annessa. We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff are knowledgeable, personable and helpful. The hotel is clean, with comfortable beds and good amenities. The shower was delightful and the open terrace (in our room) was lovely. Villa Miravalle is located in an IDEAL location to visit Riva del Garda. We would stay there again and again.

We loved our stay at this lovely hotel. It was a quick 5 minute walk to the center of town. The grounds were lovey, the breakfast great and the on site parking fantastic. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the lake. Perfect stay in lovely Riva del Garda!

This hotel thoroughly deserves its excellent reviews. We had a most enjoyable week’s stay in a Prestige room on the first floor. The hotel may not be overlooking the lake but is only minutes away and on the edge of the old town with all its shops, bars and restaurants. And, unlike the hotels by the lake itself, it is set in its own grounds with a car park and attractive gardens. We were made to feel personally welcome at check-in and throughout our stay, like being invited into someone’s home. It must help that it only has around 30 rooms, so it’s easy for guests to get to know the staff and vice versa. Our room, in keeping with the rest of the hotel, was very clean and in excellent condition despite it being late in the season. A minor quibble would be the (limited) size of the shower cubicle. The room had a balcony with a small table and 2 chairs. There was a view over the rooftops of the old town, of the surrounding mountains and a little of the lake in the distance. The pool area is clean and was rarely busy. Alternatively, there is a very pleasant area of grass and trees overlooking the pool with its own loungers and chairs. We did pick up a number of mosquito bites during our stay and assumed this was at the hotel but can’t be certain. Breakfast is a very laid-back experience with the option to eat indoors or on a shaded terrace. The buffet choice may be limited by the size of the hotel but the quality of the food and drink was excellent. And, once again, the staff were always helpful and courteous. All in all it was a welcome change from the often bland and impersonal bigger hotels.

What an absolute gem of a hotel. Everything about it was perfection. We stayed in a classic room on the ground floor, which although small, was so comfortable and clean. The only thing I could say was it perhaps needed more storage for clothes. Surrounded by the most beautiful gardens, returning to this hotel after a day of sightseeing felt like coming back to someone's house. It was so serene and peaceful. Staff were so attentive and the hotel had such a personal feel. Breakfast was delicious and the pool was beautiful and so quiet. In a great location only a few minutes walk to the main piazza. We only hope we are lucky enough to return someday.

Professional and highly attentive staff, fabulous location, superb food and drink - this is a really characterful hotel which also delivers on service, ambience and quality of catering and accommodation. Perfect location for accessing the charming but often bustling old town of Riva, but affording perfect peace and quiet at the same time. Special mention for the extremely helpful breakfast staff who went out of their way to cater to vegan dining requirements. Highly recommended and will be back!

This was a very small hotel with a perfect location, the town was only a few minutes walk away. Despite being quite close to a main road it was also very quiet. All the staff were helpful and their English perfect. Rooms can have lake or mountain views, some are compact in size but this is an old and slightly quirky hotel. Food was great, swimming pool is not heated but like all the hotel was spotlessly clean.
