The Great Ganga, Rishikesh

The property is 4* on paper but actually feels like a run down 3*. 1. They added stuff to our room bill that we didn't even order. 2. The check-in and check-out experience wasn't smooth as well 3. There is balcony and view is good but you can't open the same due to mosquitoes and monkeys coming into your balcony and then room 4. Kitchen is unhygienic and there are flies in the restaurant 5. Reception staff is rude Its better to avoid this property and go for other properties nearby with half the rate.

Excellent stay at Hotel Great Ganga, Rishikesh, Rooms are clean, spacious with river views, checkin and checkout process smooth, service is excellent especially at restaurant, Tasty food only concern- Auto pickup needs to be improved and more variety in buffet breakfast(Juice quality needs to be improved) Recommended

The Great Ganga Hotel is indeed a special place. The staff are very friendly, kind and helpful. Very convenient as it is close to the ganga and temples which is walking distance. Overall beautiful place, wonderful staff and food was also good. Would certainly recommend the hotel to friends and family and will definitely be visting again 😇🙏

Great location very near to Ghat and Ram Jhula. Big rooms, neat and clean. Good parking. Shuttle for up and down to hotel. Good food. Good AC. Good and fast room service. Decent view of Ganga ji. Friendly staff. Flexible - allowed late check out

The great Ganga is like home for me. When I get there i feel like my family is there to take care of me . This last time I was very sad because they told me to not have a room for me and my friend because they were over booking . But Then luckyle Gautam founds us a room , and that made me very happy . Because as I said , i feel confortable, when i am there. Everybody is nice and caring. The food is excellent. We had a good massage every day from 2 nice ,sweet and capable ladys. The hotel is clean , food is good ,all the staff is lovely and one more important thing is that you are close to Ram a jhula close to Parmarth Niketan Ashram so you just can walk to get there. I Thank Gautam for being such a gentle person , that cares for theyre guest . I will suggest everybody to go at the Great Ganga Hotel and hope to go back there soon. Thanks everyboy . I went to the hotel with my parents and infant daughter. The hotel is built on a steep height and going up and down is a task for old folks. Once you get to the reception which is at the top, the rooms on ground floor are at a decent with stairs only which is again a task for old parents and with an infant and strollers. The place is not at all wheelchair or stroller friendly so DO NOT BOOK in this case. The staff is largely cold and they know that people will come for the location so they are mostly ignorant. being not a very old property it could have been well planned. I requested them if they could shift the room on upper floor considering i have an infant with me but they were quiet cold to it. They do have a auto service to ferry people from road to the reception which is a plus but on busy days there would be a waiting for that too. imagine waiting in the heat to reach to the hotel or walk on an incline of 60degrees. The food at Machaan is very tasty and is another plus ***** with good rooms in the interior. I really wanted to give a better rating if the staff was more cordial and helping. A good place to stay with location, view, rooms, food.

A holy trip with family combined with festivity on diwali this year to rishikesh became a long lasting memory trip with our stay at The Great Ganga hotel. Being at the center of the town where every tourist attractions are few minutes walk or by local auto riksha was very convenient. We a family of 10 members travel with tempo traveller and ***aged to get the parking at back side of hotel area. Hotel reception sent an electric auto to transfer guest with luggage. Front entry of hotel has a steep ramp that require some sharp driving if you are visiting with your car. Food and room are matching all the expectations you may have from a good hotel. Thanks to the staff and reception ***ager for serving us with smile. Every room got a balconey with great view of ganga, janki jhula and ghat on the otger side.

Fantastic location, panoramic view of Ganges from the balcony and hospitality of the hotel staff are the key highlights of this property. Those apart, clean rooms and good breakfast with morning river view are worth mentioning. We 2 families stayed for 3 nights and loved the place. They also recommended us about local transport (vehicle on hire), which turned out to be pretty good. Overall great experience.
