I recently stayed at Shiv Shakti Hostel and had an overall pleasant experience. The hostel has a warm and welcoming ambiance that makes you feel at home right from the moment you arrive. Located conveniently in the heart of the city, it’s easy to access popular attractions, local restaurants, and transport options, making it ideal for both solo travelers and small groups. One of the highlights of my stay was the receptionist, who was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They ensured a smooth check-in process and went above and beyond in recommending nearby spots to explore, giving my trip a personal touch. This level of attention to detail truly made my stay more enjoyable, as I felt well-informed and cared for. The hostel rooms were clean and organized, with decent amenities for a budget stay. While it is not a luxury accommodation, Shiv Shakti Hostel offers great value for the price and provides a cozy environment that’s both social and relaxing. If you’re looking for a well-located and budget-friendly hostel with a staff that genuinely cares about guest satisfaction, Shiv Shakti Hostel is an excellent choice. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area who’s looking for comfort and hospitality without breaking the bank.

European couple here. After reading a few blogs online I noticed this hostel being recommended quite frequently. We were bitterly disappointed soon after arrival and actually had to cut our stay short first thing in the morning after our first night (refund not offered) due to the room being a complete health hazard. The sheets had not been changed when we arrived, full of hair and dirt. These were changed when requested but unfortunately this really was just the tip of the iceberg. The entire ceiling was damp and mouldy. The pillows were thick with black mould, the ceiling was leaking water creating a swimming pool in the hallway. The room was infested with cockroaches. It was the room from hell, I honestly do believe it would be harmful to your health staying here. I do not normally feel comfortable leaving such negative reviews however I really wish I had seen the reality of this hostel before turning up at midnight with no other choices until the morning.

Worst administration, they disturb customers at 1am in the night for paying the total booking amount (which can be taken in the morning also). They pressurize customers for the amount in the night itself. So traumatizing. Horrifying experience.

They have a nice staff. Very nice room. Great AC and TV services. The room had a good toilet and very big comfortable bed. I stayed very comfortably. Very silent atmosphere. They were quite flexible when I asked them to stay in the room extra time.

Almost no room service. AC was not functioning at all. Check in was delayed due to room unavailability of room. HORRIBLE STAY as I stayed with my senior citizen parents.View is good from the room. Thanks.

Overall the place was neat and clean. Staff was very respectful, especially the Receptionist who suggest us places to visit nearby. Overall good experience. Nothing bad, beds and pillow was neat and clear. AC working absolutely fine.

Excellent service, respect,pokite nature good staff well maintained room& dorms good behviour and always stand for helping and what peoples,are asking staff will do it as soon as possible seriously i love this hotel and i will sure suggest to my family,friend and my contacts

Excellent stay. Friendly staff. Nice location.Must recommend this property. Near to lakshman jhula prime location. All facilities are nearby. Near to riverside. View are very good. One should visit this property.
