Zostel Rishikesh

Must have been good at the time of inaugural (don’t be mislead by the swanky photos on their website and other places), now it stinks of alc0h0l and w€€d; quite unhygienic property it is. There are paid reviews on Google, they offer goodies/vouchers/meals in exchange of such reviews, so don’t be fooled by those reviews. Approach route is too difficult, the narrowest uphill lane one can imagine. Difficult for amateur drivers. The staff was found to be “high” on stuff since morning itself and behaved very rudely; kept us and others waiting for long time before even telling whether there’s occupancy available or not. I had the opportunity to peep in the cafe kitchen which is situated at the 4th floor, believe me, authorities/FSSAI should raid the place for keeping such a filthy kitchen. And it’s not even as cheap as it’s advertised, private rooms are pricey and for that segment there are millions better options available in Rishikesh. They provide no room service, etc. but charge a good ₹2.5k for private rooms. They are trying to brush off all this under the garb of so called bohemian or hippie vibe, but it doesn’t matters if there’s no cleanliness, well mannered staff, basic assistance services, etc. So the bottom line is, this place should be on your “No Go List”. And beware of the “gunda” staff here who even have the audacity of giving people death threats - photos attached here; Name of this guy is Prashant, and he’s known for his obnoxiously rude behaviour.

You need to give some training to your staff how to behave with guest. Worst guest service experience, one of your staff kuldeep still have to learn many things atleast teach him not attend guest in drunk state ,me and my friends stayed last night in your tapovan property and his behaviour was very unacceptable.
